Fits Swissvoice eSense, eSense Coloe E, and SV 20406288 handsets — replaces OEM part C8425.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 600mAh delivers stable voltage across the full talk-time window without sag.
Connector slides into the battery slot at the handset base; locking tab seats flush with the housing.
We bench-tested this cell on a paired eSense base station — BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no fault codes.
After installation, seat the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge cycle before regular use — Li-ion packs in cordless phones require a slow first charge to condition the internal protection circuit.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Swissvoice eSense Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (C8425)

This is a 3.7V, 600mAh Li-ion battery for the Swissvoice eSense cordless DECT handset. It also fits the eSense Coloe E and SV 20406288 variants. Same voltage, same footprint at 45.75 × 32.30 × 5.22mm — it drops straight into the battery compartment without modification.

  • eSense handset family: The eSense, eSense Coloe E, and SV 20406288 all run off the same 3.7V single-cell Li-ion rail with an identical connector and cell footprint. One battery covers the whole family.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through charge and discharge on the eSense platform. The BMS accepted charge from the base station cradle immediately with no rejection events, and cell voltage held stable across the full discharge curve.
  • First charge after fitting: Li-ion cells in DECT handsets often arrive partially discharged from storage. Seat the handset in the base and let it charge uninterrupted for a full cycle before making your first call — this lets the BMS calibrate its capacity estimate correctly from the start.

Talk time shorter than expected after fitting the new battery

A fresh Li-ion cell that has been in storage for weeks or months will not deliver full rated capacity on the first cycle. The BMS may also have an inaccurate state-of-charge reading until it completes one full charge-to-discharge cycle. Run two to three full cycles — charge until the handset indicator shows full, then use it until the low-battery alert triggers. By the third cycle, the BMS recalibrates and talk time should reflect the rated 600mAh capacity.

Handset loses pairing with the base after battery replacement

Removing the battery from a DECT handset cuts all power to the baseband chip, which can clear the stored pairing data on some eSense units. The handset then boots without a registered base and shows no line or signal bars. To fix this, press and hold the Paging or Find Handset button on the base station until the LED flashes, then follow the registration sequence on the handset — typically navigating to Menu → Settings → Register Handset. The base station PIN is usually 0000 unless it has been changed.

Frequently Asked Questions

My eSense handset shows a low-battery alert almost immediately after a full overnight charge — is the base actually charging the new battery?

This usually means the cell arrived from storage at a voltage the BMS reads as near-empty, and the base completed only a surface charge rather than a full cycle. Check that the handset is fully seated — the charging contacts on the eSense base are small and misalignment stops current flow. Place the handset firmly in the cradle, confirm the charging indicator lights up, and leave it for a complete uninterrupted charge cycle. If the indicator never lights, clean the contacts on both the handset and base with a dry cloth and reseat.

The eSense range feels shorter than it was before I swapped the battery — calls drop when I move further from the base.

DECT transmit power is tied directly to supply voltage from the battery. When a Li-ion cell is cold or has not yet been fully cycled, its internal resistance is slightly higher and voltage sags under the RF transmit load — the radio backs off power to protect the cell. Run two to three full charge-discharge cycles to let the cell settle, then retest range. If drop-outs persist at the same locations, the issue is environmental interference rather than the battery.

The handset drains completely overnight even though I left it sitting on the desk, not in use.

A DECT handset left off the base relies entirely on the battery to maintain its radio link to the base station — it is always listening for an incoming call. That standby draw is continuous and will flatten a 600mAh cell within hours if the handset is not seated in the charging cradle. The eSense is not designed for extended off-base use; it needs to sit in the base between calls. Place it in the cradle when not in active use and the overnight drain problem disappears.
