This 32.4V, 2000mAh (64.8Wh) Li-ion battery replaces the original pack in the Tefal TY99F1, TY99G1, TY99F1HO/4Q0, TY99F1HO/4Q2, and related cordless stick vacuum models. It slots into the same battery bay and connects via the original dock or inline charger. When the factory pack degrades and suction drops off mid-clean, this restores the motor to full operating voltage.

• TY99F1 and TY99G1 platform fit: These models share the same 32.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A replacement cell that matches those parameters will be recognised by the vacuum's power management circuit without any pairing procedure.

On the TY99 series, suction loss often happens at the motor, not the battery. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated to maintain airflow. That elevated draw causes voltage sag on the battery pack — the BMS reads it as a near-depleted cell and throttles output, even when the indicator shows charge remaining. Clean or replace the filter first before assuming the battery is the cause. If sag continues with a clean filter, the cell itself is likely below usable capacity.

Motor cuts out mid-clean then comes back after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a motor fault. When suction is restricted — by a blockage, a clogged filter, or heavy carpet pile — the motor pulls current above the BMS cutoff threshold and the pack shuts output to protect the cells. The few-second recovery is the BMS resetting after current demand drops. Clear any blockage, remove and tap out the filter, then restart. If trips continue on a clean machine, check the cell voltage under load — a degraded pack that sags below 28V at motor start will trip the BMS on every use.
