Fits TEK AK77, A6, A7, and AK80 cordless vacuums; replaces OEM part numbers LPB-05, A09-01, and ZB1758-6S1P-01.
21.6V lithium-ion at 2000mAh delivers 43.2Wh to restore full motor power and suction on AK series stick vacuums.
Connector locks vertically into the battery slot with a single release tab; verify the locking mechanism seats fully before operation.
We bench-tested this pack on the AK77 platform; the BMS accepted full charge in 90 minutes and held stable voltage under sustained motor load.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — trickle charge degrades capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

TEK AK77 / AK80 Series — 21.6V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LPB-05)

This is a 21.6V, 2000mAh (43.2Wh) lithium-ion battery pack for TEK cordless stick and handheld vacuums. It fits the AK77, AK80, A6, and A7 models. OEM part numbers covered: LPB-05, A09-01, and ZB1758-6S1P-01.

  • AK77, AK80, A6, and A7 compatibility: These four models share the same 21.6V rail, connector housing, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between them requires no adapter — the pack seats and communicates identically across the series.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through the AK77 motor circuit under simulated blockage loads. The BMS held steady through normal draw and tripped correctly on sustained overcurrent — no false cutoffs during standard use.
  • Dock charging on cordless vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum on the charging dock permanently. TEK stick vacuums on continuous dock charge develop capacity fade faster than units charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS considers safe under load — not because the cell is empty. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling sustained high current that causes voltage sag at the cell level. The vacuum loses suction noticeably while the indicator still shows two bars. Clear the filter and check for blockages in the brush head before concluding the battery is at fault.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and recovering after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When airflow is restricted — blocked filter, tangled brush roll, or a sealed nozzle — the motor draws a sustained current spike the BMS flags as a fault condition. The pack shuts output, cools briefly, then resets. The fix is airflow, not the battery: clean the filter, clear the brush roll, and confirm nothing is sealing the nozzle before the next run.

Frequently Asked Questions

My TEK AK77 suction feels weak even on a freshly charged battery — is the battery actually the problem?

Usually not. A partially blocked filter makes the AK77 motor draw more current than rated, which causes voltage sag at the cell and drops suction noticeably even when the pack is full. Remove and tap out the filter, check the brush roll for wrapped debris, and clear the nozzle path. If suction recovers after that, the battery was never the issue.

The AK77 cuts out after 20–30 seconds of use on thick carpet, then restarts on its own — what's happening?

That's the BMS tripping on an overcurrent fault, not a failing battery. Heavy carpet with a restricted filter pushes sustained high motor current past the BMS threshold, triggering a protective shutdown. The pack resets once it cools, which is why it restarts. Clean the filter fully and confirm the brush roll isn't jammed — that should stop the trip cycle.

My replacement LPB-05 battery has lost noticeably more charge capacity after a few months — what caused it?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause on TEK stick vacuums. Leaving the vacuum docked indefinitely keeps the cells under a low trickle charge that degrades capacity faster than normal cycle use. From now on, charge the pack to full, remove it from the dock, and only return it when it needs charging again. That change alone significantly slows capacity fade on lithium-ion cells in this voltage class.
