Fits Kärcher VC4 vacuum; replaces OEM part number 9.754-156.0 and 7INR19/65.
25.2V 2500mAh Li-ion pack delivers full motor torque on restricted airflow without early cutoff.
Connector locks into dock slot with positive contact pins; tab release sits top-left.
We cycled this cell on the VC4 charging dock; BMS accepted full charge without fault codes.
Remove the battery from the dock immediately after charging reaches full — continuous trickle charge degrades capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Karcher VC4 — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (9.754-156.0)

This 25.2V 2500mAh lithium-ion battery replaces the original Karcher 9.754-156.0 cell pack in the VC4 cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. It matches the voltage rail and connector configuration of the OEM pack. Capacity is 2500mAh (63Wh) — identical to the factory specification.

  • VC4 platform fit: The VC4 runs a 25.2V 6S lithium cell stack. This replacement matches that stack configuration, so the BMS handshake with the charger completes correctly. A voltage mismatch here will cause the charger to reject the pack entirely.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge cycles on a VC4 charger and confirmed BMS communication, charge acceptance, and full discharge under motor load. The overcurrent protection tripped correctly under a simulated blockage and reset without requiring a power cycle.
  • Dock charging on the VC4: Do not leave the VC4 sitting on the charging dock continuously. Cordless vacuums on permanent dock charge develop capacity fade faster than units charged only when depleted. Charge the pack to full, then remove it from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the VC4

This happens when the motor draws more current than rated — typically caused by a partially blocked filter or a restricted nozzle, not a failing battery. Under elevated load, the BMS reads an overcurrent condition and reduces power to protect the cell stack. The result feels like a weak battery but the charge level indicator may still show mid-range. Clear the filter first, then check whether suction returns to full strength at the same charge level.

VC4 motor cuts out mid-use and then recovers after a pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a battery fault. When suction is sustained against a blockage — a clogged filter, a jammed nozzle, or dense carpet pile — motor current spikes above the BMS threshold and the pack shuts the output rail. A short pause lets the BMS reset and power returns. Fix the restriction rather than the battery: clean or replace the filter, clear the nozzle path, then retest. If the cutout persists on a clean filter, check cell voltage at the pack terminals — a healthy cell at moderate charge should read above 22V under light load.

Frequently Asked Questions

My VC4 loses suction halfway through cleaning but the battery light still shows plenty of charge — what's happening?

The battery indicator is not the issue here. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than rated, and the BMS throttles output to protect the cell stack — which feels like a flat battery but isn't. Pull out the filter, clean it thoroughly, and retest. If suction returns to normal at the same charge level, the filter was the cause, not the battery.

The VC4 motor keeps cutting out for a few seconds and then comes back on — is the replacement battery faulty?

That cut-and-recover pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a defective cell. Sustained suction against a blockage — dense carpet, a clogged nozzle, or a dirty filter — pushes motor current above the protection threshold, and the BMS shuts the output rail briefly. We confirmed this behaviour on the bench with a restricted nozzle and it cleared immediately once the airflow was restored. Check the filter and nozzle path first; if the cutout still occurs on a clean, unobstructed vacuum, measure pack voltage at the terminals — it should read above 22V under light load.

My VC4 battery fades noticeably after a few months even though I charge it regularly — why?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause of early capacity fade in cordless vacuums. The VC4 charger does not fully terminate charge once the pack is full — leaving it docked for days at a time keeps the cells under a low trickle current, which accelerates degradation. Charge the pack to full, remove it from the dock, and only reconnect when the charge is noticeably low. Following this routine from the first charge cycle will significantly slow capacity loss over time.
