A charging error on a freshly installed pack almost always comes down to contact resistance at the dock interface rather than a fault with the cell itself. Oxidation or debris on the battery's gold contacts blocks the handshake signal between the pack and the cradle's charge controller. Wipe the pack contacts and the cradle contacts with a dry lint-free cloth, then reseat the scanner firmly until it clicks. If the error clears, the pack is charging normally — the cradle expects a clean contact reading below 0.5Ω to initialise the charge cycle.

During a fast scan burst, the imager and the wireless radio draw current simultaneously. If the cell voltage sags below the radio module's minimum threshold — typically around 6.8V on the 7535 platform — the wireless link drops before the BMS trips. This looks like a connectivity fault but it is a combined load problem. A cell with capacity fade cannot sustain both draws at once. Swap in a fresh pack and confirm the terminal holds its wireless association through a 30-second continuous scan sequence.
