Telekom A806 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A051)

This is a 3.7V 1200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Telekom A806 cordless DECT handset. It replaces OEM part number A051 and fits directly into the A806 handset battery compartment. Use this when the original battery no longer holds a charge or the handset dies quickly off the base.

• A806 handset fit: The A806 uses a slim single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal. This replacement matches that voltage rail, connector orientation, and physical dimensions (53 × 34 × 5.70mm), so the handset BMS accepts it without a fault state.

Talk time shorter than the original A806 battery after replacement

A new Li-ion cell ships at around 30–50% state of charge after storage. If you start using the handset before completing a full charge, the available capacity will feel lower than the rated 1200mAh. This is not a defective cell — it is a storage-state issue. Place the handset in the base cradle and allow one complete charge cycle before judging talk time. After that first full cycle, capacity should stabilise at the rated figure.

A806 base station not recognising the new battery or charge light not activating

A Li-ion cell that has dropped below roughly 2.5V during storage may sit outside the base station's charge acceptance window — the base detects an abnormal voltage and holds off charging as a safety measure. Remove the handset, reinsert the battery firmly to ensure clean contact, then reseat the handset in the cradle. If the charge indicator still does not activate, use a compatible external Li-ion charger to bring the cell up to at least 3.0V, then return it to the base cradle.
