Fits Toshiba IP4100 cordless handset, replaces OEM part numbers 10000060 and RTR001F02.
Voltage is 3.7V at 1200mAh capacity, delivering 4.44Wh to restore talk time and standby on aged handsets.
Connector slides into handset battery slot with positive contact first, locking tab seats flush against the housing wall.
We bench-tested this cell in an IP4100 base charger — BMS accepted voltage threshold on arrival and held stable across standby cycles.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Li-ion cells in DECT phones require a slow initial charge cycle to calibrate the fuel gauge.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Toshiba IP4100 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (10000060 / RTR001F02)

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Toshiba IP4100 DECT cordless handset. It slots into the handset's battery compartment and restores talk time and standby functionality when the original cell has degraded. Voltage and physical dimensions match the OEM spec: 53.00 × 34.00 × 5.70mm.

  • IP4100 handset fit: The IP4100 runs a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack on a low-current DECT radio circuit. This battery uses the same connector pinout and BMS communication profile, so the base station's charge management reads it correctly and does not throw a charge fault.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the IP4100 platform. The BMS held cutoff at 4.2V on charge and tripped low-voltage protection at 3.0V — both within the handset's expected operating window.
  • First-charge protocol for DECT Li-ion handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it on charge for a full 16 hours before first use. DECT phones arrive from storage at a partial state of charge, and the base station's trickle-charge circuit needs uninterrupted time to bring a fresh cell to rated capacity.

Talk time shorter than expected after fitting the new battery

Li-ion cells in cordless phones are stored for months before sale, which drops them to a partial charge state. The IP4100's charge circuit tops the cell up quickly on first seat, but the battery hasn't yet been through a full charge-discharge cycle. Most users see rated capacity stabilise after three to five complete cycles — charge to full, use until the handset warns low, return to base and repeat.

Toshiba IP4100 base station showing a charge error after battery swap

The IP4100 base station checks incoming battery voltage before committing to a charge cycle. A new cell shipped at storage voltage — typically 3.5V or below — can sit outside the window the base expects to see, triggering an error light instead of starting the charge. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it firmly so the contacts close cleanly. If the error persists, use a USB charger or compatible external charger to bring the cell above 3.6V first, then return it to the base.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Toshiba IP4100 handset won't pair with the base after I swapped the battery — is the phone broken?

No — some DECT handsets lose their pairing registration when power is fully removed during a battery swap. The IP4100 stores pairing data in volatile memory tied to the battery circuit. Re-register the handset manually: press and hold the page/find button on the base for five seconds until the base beeps, then follow the handset's on-screen pairing prompt.

The IP4100 battery drains completely overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base — what's causing that?

This is a contact issue, not a battery fault. If the handset isn't fully seated, the charge pins don't make consistent contact and the standby draw runs the cell flat without the base topping it up. Press the handset down until it clicks into the cradle and check that the charge indicator light on the base comes on. If the light stays off, clean the charge contacts on both the handset and base with a dry cotton swab.

After replacing the battery, the IP4100 starts dropping calls near the edge of its range — it was fine before. Why?

RF transmit power on DECT handsets draws a short current spike every time the radio fires. If the battery voltage sags under that load — common when a new cell hasn't completed its first full charge cycle — the handset's transmit power drops and range suffers. Run three full charge-discharge cycles first. If sag continues after that, check the handset contacts for corrosion; a high-resistance connection causes the same voltage drop under RF load even with a healthy cell.
