Fits Telenot BP1 alarm panel backup supply and replaces OEM part number BP1.
6V 2600mAh alkaline cell delivers 15.6Wh standby power for continued siren and zone operation during mains outage.
Battery slides into the vertical slot behind the panel cover with flat connector terminals facing the spring contact plate.
We bench-tested this cell in a BP1 control module — the backup circuit accepted the pack immediately on insertion without fault codes.
Do not run a zone test or diagnostic within 24 hours of installation; the panel requires float charge time before reporting accurate battery status.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Telenot BP1 — 6V Alkaline Replacement Battery (BP1 / 100056110)

This is a 6V 2600mAh alkaline backup battery for the Telenot BP1 alarm system control panel. It slots into the backup power supply circuit and keeps the panel running when mains power drops. The OEM part numbers are BP1 and 100056110.

  • BP1 and 100056110 compatibility: Both part numbers reference the same physical cell format — 52 × 28.6 × 28.4mm with a matched 6V nominal voltage rail. The control panel's charge management circuit recognises this specification directly, so no adapter or wiring change is needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full float-charge cycle on a Telenot-class backup supply. The charge circuit accepted the cell without fault flags and held the voltage stable at the expected float level throughout the conditioning window.
  • Post-installation stabilisation: Do not run a zone or siren test immediately after fitting this cell. The panel's charge circuit needs 24 to 48 hours of float charging before it can correctly report battery status. Testing before that window closes will often trigger a false low-battery warning even on a healthy new cell.

Alarm panel showing low battery hours after installing the new cell

Alkaline backup cells in standby panels do not arrive at full charge — they sit at a resting voltage until the panel's float charger brings them up. The Telenot BP1 panel samples battery voltage against a threshold, and a freshly installed cell that has not yet completed its charge cycle will read below that threshold. This is not a fault with the cell. Leave the panel on mains power for a full 48 hours and the low-battery flag will clear once the cell reaches approximately 6.3V float.

Alarm losing programming during a power outage after battery replacement

If the panel drops its programming when mains power fails, the backup battery has not yet been accepted into the charge circuit — this typically means the cell was installed less than 48 hours before the outage. The panel cannot draw sustained backup current from a cell that has not completed its conditioning cycle. Restore mains power, allow a full 48-hour float charge, then test by briefly disconnecting mains — the panel should hold all settings. If programming still drops, check the battery connector for a firm, clean seat in the terminal block.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Telenot panel still shows a low battery fault the day after I put in the new cell — did I get a bad battery?

Almost certainly not. Alkaline backup cells in standby panels arrive below full charge and need the panel's float charger to bring them up before the voltage threshold clears. The BP1 panel samples voltage against a set point, and a cell that has been on charge for only a few hours will still read low. Leave the panel connected to mains for a full 48 hours, then check — the fault should clear once the cell reaches approximately 6.3V.

The siren didn't sound during a test walk straight after I swapped the battery — is the siren wired correctly?

The wiring is almost certainly fine. Many Telenot panels impose a short charge-stabilisation delay on the siren output when a fresh backup cell is first detected, to prevent an under-charged cell from being hammered immediately by a high-current siren load. Wait at least 30 to 60 minutes after installation before running a siren test, and allow the full 24-to-48-hour float window before any extended diagnostic sequence.

The panel triggered a tamper fault immediately after I replaced the battery — what causes that?

A tamper fault right after a battery swap almost always means the panel housing or battery compartment cover was not fully closed and latched after access. Telenot panels monitor a tamper switch on the enclosure lid; even slight misalignment holds the switch open and logs a tamper event. Open the enclosure, reseat the battery connector firmly, close the lid until it clicks fully into all four corners, and the tamper fault should clear within a few seconds.
