Fits TP-Link Neffos C7a and TP705A models, replaces OEM part NBL-46A2300 lithium-polymer cell.
3.8V at 2000mAh delivers 7.6Wh to sustain processor, modem, and display loads without early shutdown.
Connector slides vertically into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the left edge.
We bench-tested this cell at 80% discharge depth; the BMS accepted charge at 0.5C without fault codes.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled to recalibrate the fuel gauge IC against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

TP-Link Neffos C7a — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (NBL-46A2300)

This is a 3.8V, 2000mAh Li-Polymer cell replacement for the TP-Link Neffos C7a (model TP705A). It matches the OEM part number NBL-46A2300 and fits the original battery bay without modification. Capacity is 7.6Wh, matching the factory specification.

  • Neffos C7a / TP705A fit: Both model designations share the same battery bay dimensions (70.72 × 52.88 × 4.36mm), connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers both variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the cell through a full discharge and charge cycle on the C7a platform. The BMS accepted the charge profile without triggering protection cutoff, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge correctly after one complete cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before enabling it again. The fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. Running one unconstrained cycle first lets it map the new cell before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Neffos C7a after a cell swap

This happens because the phone's fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When the new cell's actual terminal voltage drops under modem or display load, the IC misreads remaining capacity and triggers shutdown early. The fix is a full calibration cycle: drain the phone to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the device. After one complete cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference points against the new cell and the reported percentage stabilises.

USB fast charge not activating after fitting a replacement cell

On the first cycle after installation, the charge IC on the Neffos C7a may not handshake correctly with the new cell's BMS, causing the device to fall back to standard 5V charging. This is normal — the BMS needs one baseline charge cycle before it signals readiness for higher charge rates. Plug into the original TP-Link charger, let it complete a full charge at standard rate, then disconnect and reconnect. Fast charge should re-engage from the second cycle onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Neffos C7a shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the C7a is still referencing the discharge curve of the old, worn-out cell, so it miscalculates the voltage cliff on a fresh cell and triggers shutdown too early. Run one full calibration cycle: let the phone drain completely to auto-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with the screen off. After that single cycle the coulomb counter resets and the shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — it went from 60% to 41% in two minutes without heavy use.

That's the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve after replacement. The IC's stored model no longer matches the actual cell chemistry, so state-of-charge readings are unstable until it gathers new data. Complete one full discharge-to-zero followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. Erratic percentage jumps typically settle within that first full cycle as the IC rebuilds its reference table.

The phone feels warm near the battery while charging the new cell — is that normal?

Some warmth on the first few charges is expected. A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, and the charge IC responds by pushing current harder to maintain its target rate, generating more heat temporarily. Keep the phone out of a case during the first two or three charges to allow the heat to dissipate. If the back stays hot to the touch — above roughly 40°C — after those initial cycles, check that the charger voltage matches the OEM 5V specification.
