Neffos C7a / TP705A — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (NBL-46A2300)

This is a 3.8V, 2000mAh (7.6Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Neffos C7a and TP705A smartphones. It replaces OEM part number NBL-46A2300. If your original cell has swollen, drains within hours, or won't hold a charge past a certain percentage, this is the direct swap.

• C7a and TP705A compatibility: Both the C7a and TP705A (TP705A is the model number assigned to the same hardware variant) run on the same 3.8V power rail and use an identical connector pinout and BMS handshake. One cell fits both.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS negotiated charge acceptance correctly and terminated at full voltage without thermal events or abnormal current draw.
• Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC on the C7a calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes the percentage to read inaccurately until a full cycle completes.

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity defect. When the modem transmits or the screen peaks in brightness, current draw spikes sharply. A new cell that hasn't been calibrated to the phone's fuel gauge IC will report 25% remaining while the actual cell voltage has already dropped below the shutdown threshold. The phone cuts power to protect the SoC. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this recalibrates the coulomb counter and eliminates the false cliff.

Li-Polymer cells in storage self-discharge over time. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks current flow to prevent damage. The phone will show no response — not even a charging indicator — when you plug it in. Connect the phone to a wall adapter and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage recovers above the BMS re-initialisation threshold, after which normal charging resumes.
