Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy A80 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BA905ABU)
This is a 3.85V, 3700mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Samsung Galaxy A80 smartphone. It fits the SM-A805F/DS, SM-A805N, and other Galaxy A80 2019 variants. It replaces OEM part numbers EB-BA905ABU, GH82-20346A, and EB-BA905ABE.
- Galaxy A80 rotating camera platform: The SM-A805 series shares a single battery footprint across all regional SKUs. The connector pinout, BMS handshake voltage, and physical dimensions — 59.86 × 60.12 × 5.74mm — are identical across the entire A80 lineup, so one cell covers all variants.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on an SM-A805F unit and cycled it through a full discharge and charge sequence. The BMS accepted the cell without triggering overvoltage or temperature fault flags, and fast charge negotiation completed normally by the second cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard speed. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging starts pushing current into an uncalibrated cell.
Why the Galaxy A80 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Galaxy A80 uses a coulomb counter IC that builds its fuel gauge model against the original cell's charge curve over hundreds of cycles. When you swap the cell, the IC is still referencing the old degraded curve. The result is a percentage reading that drifts — often reading 30% when the cell is nearly flat. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a complete charge cycle forces the IC to reset its reference baseline against the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the modem radio or the AMOLED panel draws a current spike that the cell cannot sustain at lower state-of-charge, causing voltage to sag below the BMS cutoff threshold even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. It is more common in the first few cycles on a fresh cell before the gauge IC recalibrates. After one full reference cycle, the cutoff threshold aligns more accurately to actual cell voltage under load. If shutdowns persist past three cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partially connected cell raises contact resistance and amplifies voltage sag.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Galaxy A80 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
A Li-Polymer cell stored below 2.5V trips the BMS into a protection lockout state and the phone will not respond to a normal boot attempt. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, usually around 3.0V, before normal charging resumes.
USB-PD fast charging isn't working on the first charge after I installed the new battery — did I get a faulty cell?
This is normal behaviour on the first cycle. The BMS on a fresh cell has not yet completed a full handshake with the charge IC, so Samsung's Adaptive Fast Charging protocol falls back to standard 5V charging as a precaution. Run one complete standard-speed charge to 100%, then discharge the phone normally to around 10–15%. On the second charge cycle, fast charging should negotiate correctly and the charging icon in the status bar will confirm it.
The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging — is something wrong with the new cell?
A new Li-Polymer cell starts with slightly higher internal impedance than a worn-in cell, which means more energy is dissipated as heat during the initial charge cycles. This is expected and typically reduces after three to five full cycles as the cell's impedance drops. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — or if charging stops before 100% with a temperature warning on screen, remove the case to improve airflow and check that the battery connector ribbon is not kinked, as a bent connector raises resistance and increases heat at the joint.
