Fits Samsung Galaxy A70 with OEM part number EB-BA705ABU or GH82-19746A replacement.
3.85V Li-Polymer cell at 4400mAh restores full charge capacity to the A70 after original degradation.
Connector slides into the battery slot with flat orientation; locking tab seats flush against the housing edge.
We bench-tested this cell in an A70 — BMS accepted the pack on first insertion without lockout.
On first full charge cycle after installation, disable fast charging to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy A70 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BA705ABU)

This is a 3.85V, 4400mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy A70 smartphone, including SM-A705F/DS and SM-A705FN/DS variants. It replaces OEM part numbers EB-BA705ABU, GH82-19746A, and EB-BA705ABE. It fits the original battery bay without modification.

  • Galaxy A70 and A70 2019 compatibility: All SM-A705 variants share the same physical cell dimensions (80.60 × 64.28 × 4.10mm), connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits the full model range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on an SM-A705F/DS unit and confirmed BMS handshake, charge IC acceptance, and stable voltage delivery under screen-on and modem load without mid-cycle cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC uses this cycle to map the new cell's discharge curve — skipping it causes the percentage indicator to read against the old cell's data.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Galaxy A70 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC — a coulomb counter stored in the phone's baseband — is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. A new cell hits its low-voltage cliff at a different state of charge. When the modem or display draws a current spike, the cell voltage sags below the shutdown threshold before the gauge reaches 0%. One full discharge cycle forces the coulomb counter to re-anchor against the new cell's actual discharge curve and eliminates premature shutdowns.

USB-PD fast charge not triggering on the first cycle after replacement

On first charge, the A70's charge IC runs a trickle phase to verify BMS integrity before negotiating fast charge protocols. If the charger shows standard charging only, this is expected behaviour on cycle one — not a fault in the cell or the charger. Let the first charge complete at standard rate without unplugging. On the second cycle, the charge IC re-initiates the fast charge handshake and the 25W protocol resumes. If fast charge still does not activate after cycle two, verify the cable supports high-current delivery — the limiting factor is usually the cable, not the cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Galaxy A70 shuts off at around 25% after I put in a new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the A70 uses a coulomb counter calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads where the voltage cliff actually falls on the new cell. Under a modem or display current spike, voltage sags below the shutdown threshold while the gauge still shows charge remaining. Run one full discharge down to automatic poweroff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the coulomb counter resets its reference curve and the premature shutdown stops.

The battery percentage on my A70 is jumping around after the replacement — 60% one minute, 45% the next. What's causing it?

Erratic percentage readings are a fuel gauge IC calibration problem, not a defective cell. The IC's stored discharge map no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage behaviour, so small load changes produce large, incorrect swings in the displayed percentage. The fix is a full uninterrupted discharge-to-poweroff followed by a complete charge to 100% without interruption. After one clean cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and percentage reporting stabilises.

My A70 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — nothing happens when I press power.

A Li-Polymer cell stored without a load will self-discharge over time. If it dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state and refuses to deliver current to protect the cell from further deep discharge damage. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it connected for 30–45 minutes without pressing any buttons — the charge IC applies a low-current recovery charge that brings the cell voltage back above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once the voltage clears 3.0V, the BMS releases and the phone powers on normally.
