Fits Trimble Juno 3A, 3B, 3C, 3D handheld GPS receivers; replaces OEM part 707-00008-00B, 707-00008-00A, 85713-00.
3.7V, 3060mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers the capacity this survey unit needs for extended field mapping and GIS data collection without mid-session power loss.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion on the Juno platform.
We bench-tested this pack in a Juno 3B under sustained GPS logging; the BMS held stable voltage throughout a full measurement cycle with no early cutoff.
After installing, power on the unit and run one complete GPS fix cycle before field deployment — this allows the instrument to register the new cell voltage and prevents false low-battery warnings during your first survey session.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Trimble Juno 3 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (707-00008-00B)

This 3.7V, 3060mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the OEM pack in the Trimble Juno 3A, 3B, 3C, and 3D handheld GPS receivers. It fits the same battery bay and uses the same connector as the original. Capacity is rated at 11.32Wh — matching the draw profile of the Juno 3 platform during active GPS logging and data collection.

  • Juno 3A / 3B / 3C / 3D platform fit: All four variants share the same voltage rail, battery bay dimensions, and BMS handshake protocol. One pack covers the full Juno 3 line without wiring or adapter changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through GPS acquisition, active Bluetooth, and continuous data logging. The BMS held steady at full load and triggered protection cleanly at the low-voltage threshold — no unexpected cutoffs.
  • Post-install calibration cycle: After fitting this battery, run a full calibration cycle through the Juno 3 system settings before heading to the field. The device maps battery state during that cycle — skipping it causes the low-battery warning to fire well before the cell is actually depleted on your first survey session.

BMS cutoff when the Juno 3 initialises its GPS or Bluetooth module

At power-on, the Juno 3 pulls a short current spike as the GPS receiver and Bluetooth radio initialise simultaneously. A degraded or deeply discharged pack can drop below the BMS protection threshold during that spike, triggering an immediate cutoff — the unit appears to power on then shut straight back off. This is a cell-level issue, not a firmware fault. Charge the replacement pack to at least 3.9V per cell before the first boot to keep voltage above the cutoff window during initialisation.

Juno 3 shuts down mid-session during USB data transfer to a PC

USB data transfer adds a combined draw from the CPU, storage controller, and the charging circuit running in reverse — the device attempts to source current to the host in some cable configurations. This can push total draw above what a partially discharged pack sustains, and the BMS cuts the output rail. It is not a software crash. Start transfers with the battery above 50% charge, or use an externally powered USB hub to reduce the current demand on the pack during the transfer session.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Juno 3A won't charge at all after sitting in the case for several months — is the battery dead?

A lithium-polymer pack left unused for months can drop below the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.5V, and the charger will not initiate a charge cycle at that voltage. The BMS is in sleep mode, not permanently failed. Connect the unit to the OEM charger and leave it for 30–45 minutes without interruption — most BMS circuits will recover and begin a normal charge cycle once the trickle current nudges the cell voltage above 2.8V. If the charge LED never activates after an hour, the cell has dropped below recoverable voltage and the pack needs replacing.

Battery percentage on the Juno 3 jumps around or reads full at boot, then drops sharply after a few minutes of use — what's happening?

The Juno 3's battery indicator is calibrated to the voltage curve of the original pack. A new cell has a slightly different resting voltage profile until it beds in over two or three charge cycles, which causes the percentage display to misread during the first few sessions. This is not a faulty battery. Run two full charge-and-use cycles without interrupting them, then do the calibration cycle in system settings — the indicator will track accurately once the device has mapped the new cell's discharge curve.

My Juno 3D readings reset or the screen blanks briefly during a long logging session even though the battery showed plenty of charge — what causes that?

Under sustained GPS logging with the display on, the current draw is higher and more constant than during normal navigation use. If the cell has any capacity fade or the contacts are not fully seated, voltage sags briefly under that sustained load — enough for the device to register a dropout and reset the active session. This is a voltage sag event, not a firmware issue. Clean the battery contacts with a dry cloth, reseat the pack firmly, and confirm the replacement cell is fully charged to 4.2V before starting a long logging session.
