This 11.1V 2500mAh Li-ion battery replaces OEM part 4512-201-06902 in the TRIXELL 3543 pR and 3543 pR Wireless Portable Detector. It is a direct fit for the flat-panel digital radiography detector used in clinical and hospital imaging environments. Cross-references 62841555A and ZC08040.

  • 3543 pR platform compatibility: Both the standard and wireless variants of the 3543 pR share the same 11.1V three-cell Li-ion architecture and connector pinout. The BMS in each expects identical voltage thresholds and communication handshake, so one battery fits both configurations without modification.

Why the 3543 pR shows a battery fault immediately after a confirmed full charge

Detector will not power on after the battery was left unused in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge over time. If the battery voltage drops below approximately 9V, the 3543 pR BMS enters deep-discharge lockout and refuses to boot the device — this is a protective state, not a cell failure. Place the battery on a compatible charger and allow it to recover to above 10.5V before reinserting it. Once voltage is restored above the BMS recovery threshold, the detector will complete its normal startup sequence.

The 3543 pR BMS compares the new cell's internal resistance against a stored OEM reference profile, and a fresh cell won't match that profile on the first cycle. The detector reads the mismatch as a low-capacity condition and triggers the alarm even with a full charge. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle before clinical use — after that cycle, the BMS updates its reference and the alarm clears. Do not deploy the detector in a clinical setting until the conditioning cycle is finished.

The detector powers on but shuts off unexpectedly during an imaging session — is this the battery?

During the first 10 cycles, a new Li-ion cell has slightly higher internal resistance, which causes a sharper voltage sag under the load spike of an active imaging sequence. The 3543 pR BMS interprets that sag as a near-empty cell and triggers a protective shutdown. This behaviour settles after the cell is broken in through several full cycles. Track whether shutdowns reduce in frequency with each subsequent session — if they persist past cycle 10, check that resting voltage after a full charge reaches 12.6V.

The charge indicator on the 3543 pR won't reach 100% on the first charge with the new battery — is it defective?

The charge IC applies a conservative current limit on the first charge of a new cell, which can leave the indicator sitting at 95–99% for an extended period before terminating. This is normal behaviour — the cell is still receiving a trickle top-up charge. Leave it on the charger until the charge IC terminates naturally rather than removing it early. A second full charge cycle will typically show the indicator reaching 100% without delay.
