Fits UMIDIGI S2 smartphone; replaces OEM part number 1ICP/5/64/58-2 battery.
3.85V lithium-polymer cell rated 5000mAh delivers full power to processor, display, and modem without voltage sag.
Connector seats flat into the device slot with standard JST orientation; no mechanical modification required.
We bench-tested this pack against the OEM discharge curve—BMS accepted fast-charge input on second cycle after initial handshake.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging enabled to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge profile.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

UMI UMIDIGI S2 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (1ICP/5/64/58-2)

This 3.85V, 5000mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original battery in the UMIDIGI S2 smartphone. It matches the OEM part number 1ICP/5/64/58-2 and fits the S2's battery bay at 87.05 × 64.60 × 4.85mm. Capacity is rated at 19.25Wh — identical to the factory spec.

  • UMIDIGI S2 fitment: The S2 uses a sealed rear-panel design with a direct flex-ribbon connector. This cell matches that connector pinout and the BMS handshake voltage thresholds the S2's charge IC expects — no adaptation required.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the S2 platform. The BMS held charge termination at the correct 4.35V cutoff and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the low-voltage floor without hanging the charge IC.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the S2's fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter to the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the UMIDIGI S2 after a cell swap

The S2's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell in its coulomb counter. When a new cell is installed, the IC's voltage model no longer matches what the cell actually delivers under load. The modem radio and display draw current spikes that push the new cell's terminal voltage below the IC's shutdown threshold — even though state-of-charge is genuinely high. One full uninterrupted discharge cycle from 100% to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge, forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate against the new cell's actual voltage floor.

USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement

The S2's charge controller negotiates fast-charge current based on the BMS reporting a valid cell impedance range. On a brand-new cell, impedance reads slightly higher than an in-service cell — some charge ICs interpret this as a fault condition and fall back to standard 5V/1A charging. This typically clears after the first full charge cycle, once the BMS registers the cell as settled. If fast charge still does not activate after one complete cycle, check that the cable and adapter support the correct voltage step — the S2 expects 9V/2A negotiation.

Frequently Asked Questions

My UMIDIGI S2 shuts off at around 25% after I put in a new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The S2's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to your old, worn-out cell's discharge curve, and it now misreads the new cell's voltage under load — triggering a premature shutdown. Run one full discharge from 100% down to automatic power-off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at the standard charge rate with fast charging disabled. After that single cycle the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's actual voltage profile and the early shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my UMIDIGI S2 is jumping around erratically — 60% one minute, 45% the next.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating after the cell swap. The IC uses a stored discharge curve to estimate state-of-charge; a new cell with a different impedance profile causes the percentage to jump until the counter has enough data to anchor itself. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate — no top-up charges halfway through — gives the IC enough data points to stabilise the reading. After that cycle, erratic percentage jumps should resolve.

My UMIDIGI S2 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it.

A Li-Polymer cell stored uncharged for an extended period can drop below 2.5V per cell, which triggers the BMS's deep-discharge lockout — the phone sees no usable voltage and won't respond to the power button. Connect the phone to a wall charger using the original cable and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell at a safe low current until the BMS releases the lockout at approximately 3.0V. If the charging indicator still does not appear after 30 minutes, try a different USB-C cable, as trickle-charge mode is sensitive to cable resistance.
