Sale priceFrom $24.99 USD Regular price $30.99
Shipping calculated at checkout.
Fits USCellular MWP3505, MWP3505US, and Render phones; replaces OEM battery MWP3505.
Delivers 3.8V at 1950mAh (7.41Wh) — sufficient for full-day smartphone operation on this platform.
Connector type is proprietary USCellular format; installs into the standard battery slot with one-click retention tab.
We bench-tested this cell against the MWP3505 fuel gauge IC; BMS accepted handshake on first insertion without fault codes.
On first charge after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle before enabling fast charging — this allows the fuel gauge to recalibrate against the new cell curve and prevents early shutdown at 20-30% remaining.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

USCellular MWP3505 / Render — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 3.8V, 1950mAh (7.41Wh) Li-ion cell fits the USCellular MWP3505, MWP3505US, and Render smartphones. It replaces a degraded or failed original battery without replacing the handset. Voltage and form factor match the stock cell exactly — 56.00 x 55.50 x 5.00mm.

  • MWP3505, MWP3505US, and Render compatibility: All three variants share the same 3.8V power rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers the full lineup without adapters or modifications.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the MWP3505 platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without fault flags, and the charge IC completed a full cycle without thermal or current errors.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before it begins tracking percentage — skipping this step causes percentage jumps and early shutdown flags.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the MWP3505 after a cell swap

The MWP3505's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When the new cell is installed, the IC misreads the voltage-capacity relationship and calls a low-voltage cutoff earlier than the true state of charge. The modem radio and display draw spike current at that point, pulling the cell voltage below the BMS floor momentarily — triggering a hard shutdown. One full uncalibrated discharge-charge cycle at standard current corrects the IC's curve and stops these early cutoffs.

USB fast charge not activating on the replacement cell's first cycle

On first connection after a swap, the charge IC on the Render and MWP3505 runs a trickle pre-charge phase to verify cell health before stepping up to fast-charge current. A new cell at full voltage can confuse this handshake — the IC stays in pre-charge mode and the phone never signals fast charging. Disconnect the cable, power the phone off, reconnect, and let the IC re-enter its detection sequence from a cold start. If the issue persists after one full standard-rate cycle, verify the charge voltage is reaching 4.35V at the termination point.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MWP3505 keeps shutting off around 25% battery even though the replacement cell is brand new — what's wrong?

The fuel gauge IC on the MWP3505 is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it reads the voltage cliff earlier than it actually occurs. Under a combined modem and screen load, even a brief voltage dip trips the BMS cutoff at that miscalibrated threshold. Run one full discharge from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge back to 100% at the standard rate with fast charging off. After that single cycle the IC recalibrates and the early shutoffs stop.

The battery percentage on my Render jumps around erratically after I put in the new cell — is the battery faulty?

It's not a faulty cell — it's the coulomb counter on the Render recalibrating against an unfamiliar discharge curve. The IC has no reference data for the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship, so it interpolates poorly and reports unstable percentages. Complete one uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle at standard current with the screen on and background apps running normally. The counter anchors to the real curve and percentage reporting stabilises.

The phone won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in the box for a few months before I installed it — is it dead?

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below 2.5V the BMS entered a lockout state to prevent damage — the phone won't respond to the power button. Connect the phone to a wall charger using the original cable and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC delivers a low-current recovery charge to bring the cell above the BMS unlock threshold, typically around 2.9V, at which point the phone will resume normal startup.
