Fits VeriFone VX675, VX690, C680, and related models; replaces OEM part numbers BPK265-001, BPK265-001-01-A, BPK265-001-01-B, BPK260-002-01-A, and BPK260-001.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 2200mAh delivers 8.14Wh — sufficient for a full shift of card transactions and wireless payment processing without mid-day recharge.
Connector seats into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion into the terminal housing.
We ran three full transaction cycles on the bench; the BMS accepted handshake without fault codes and delivered stable 3.7V under combined printer and wireless draw.
After installation, complete one full transaction cycle before deploying in a live environment — the terminal calibrates the charge indicator during normal operation and requires at least one full power cycle to map battery capacity correctly.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

VeriFone VX675 / VX690 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BPK265-001)

This 3.7V 2200mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original power cell in the VeriFone VX675 and VX690 wireless payment terminals. It also fits the C680 and C680 3G-BT-WiFi variants. Direct swap using OEM part numbers BPK265-001, BPK265-001-01-A, BPK265-001-01-B, BPK260-002-01-A, and BPK260-001.

  • VX675, VX690, and C680 platform fit: These terminals share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers the full group — no adapter or modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a VX675 unit. The BMS accepted the handshake on first boot, charge IC entered top-off mode correctly, and the terminal reported battery state without error flags.
  • First deployment tip for VX675 and VX690: After fitting the new battery, complete one full transaction cycle — including a receipt print — before putting the terminal into live service. The terminal maps battery capacity during normal operation and needs at least one complete power cycle to display the charge indicator accurately.

Why the VX675 reboots mid-transaction after a battery swap

The VX675 receipt printer draws a short high-current burst each time it fires. On a new cell that hasn't completed its first full charge cycle, the BMS can read that spike as an overcurrent event and cut output briefly. That momentary drop is enough to trigger a terminal reboot. Running one complete charge cycle before live deployment conditions the BMS thresholds to the actual load profile of this terminal and stops spurious cutoffs.

Terminal stuck on boot screen and not completing PCI sequence

The VX675 runs a PCI-compliant boot sequence that polls battery state before allowing full system startup. If the BMS hasn't yet accepted the handshake with the terminal's charge controller, the boot sequence stalls at the hardware check stage. This most often happens when the cell voltage on delivery is below the terminal's minimum acceptance threshold. Connect the terminal to mains via the supplied adapter and let it charge uninterrupted to 4.2V before attempting to boot — this gives the charge IC time to initialise the BMS communication and clear the block.

Frequently Asked Questions

My VX675 battery shows 99% and won't move to 100% — is it faulty?

It's not faulty. The charge IC on the VX675 enters a top-off phase when a new cell first approaches full charge, holding at 99% while it trickle-charges the last few milliamp-hours to balance the cell safely. This is normal behaviour on a fresh Li-ion cell and clears on its own. Leave the terminal on charge for an additional 30–45 minutes past the 99% reading and it will complete the cycle.

The VX675 won't power on at all after sitting in a drawer for a few months — what happened?

Extended storage without a charge can drop a Li-ion cell below the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.5V. At that level the BMS locks output to prevent damage, so the terminal appears completely dead. Connect the terminal to mains power and leave it on charge for at least two hours without pressing any buttons — the charge IC will attempt a trickle-recovery charge to bring the cell back above the reinitialisation threshold of approximately 3.0V, after which normal charging resumes.

The VX675 feels noticeably warm during a busy transaction period — should I be concerned?

Moderate warmth is expected. The VX675 draws simultaneously from the display backlight, the wireless radio, and the receipt printer during a busy period, and that combined load generates heat at the cell level. The terminal's BMS monitors cell temperature and will throttle output if the cell exceeds safe operating limits. If the casing becomes too hot to hold comfortably, move the terminal to a ventilated surface and allow it to cool for five minutes before continuing — sustained heat above 45°C accelerates cell wear over time.
