Fits VIBO K520 smartphones and restores full operating capacity on compatible handsets.
3.7V and 1050mAh capacity matches OEM output — sufficient for calling, messaging, and standard app use on this device class.
Connector type and orientation match original housing slot; no mechanical modification needed for installation.
We charged against a 500mA lab supply; BMS accepted input smoothly, voltage curve tracked linear discharge under 100mA load, no anomalies observed.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

VIBO K520 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion replacement battery for VIBO mobile smartphones, sold under OEM part number K520. It replaces a degraded or failed original cell to restore the phone's ability to power on, hold charge, and run core functions. Capacity is 3.89Wh as rated.

  • VIBO K520 platform fit: The K520 part number ties this cell to a specific connector pinout, physical footprint (53.00 × 33.90 × 5.60mm), and BMS handshake voltage expected by the VIBO charge IC. Swapping in a cell with a different part number risks a BMS rejection or incorrect state-of-charge reporting.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full discharge-charge sequence and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell without triggering a charge fault. Voltage at rest settled at 3.75V after the first complete cycle, consistent with a healthy Li-ion cell.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's actual discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the VIBO K520 replacement cell

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits a steeper voltage cliff under modem or screen load, dropping below the shutdown threshold while the OS still shows charge remaining. The phone interprets the voltage drop as a fault and cuts power to protect the cell. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate resets the coulomb counter and resolves this.

Phone not powering on after the K520 sat discharged in storage

Li-ion cells left below approximately 2.5V for extended periods trigger a BMS lockout to prevent unsafe charging of a deeply discharged cell. The phone will show no response — no boot, no charging indicator. Connect the phone to a wall charger (not a USB port) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any button. Most BMS circuits on this class of cell will begin a trickle pre-charge at around 2.8V and re-initialise once the cell clears the lockout threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

My VIBO phone shuts off at around 25% battery after I put in the new K520 — what's causing that?

The fuel gauge IC in the phone is still reading against the old cell's discharge curve, not the new K520's. When the new cell's voltage drops sharply under load — typically during a call or with the screen at full brightness — the phone's charge controller sees it fall below the cutoff threshold and shuts down, even though the OS is displaying charge remaining. Run one full discharge (down to automatic shutdown) followed by a full charge at standard rate. That single cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter to the new cell and clears the early-cutoff behaviour.

Fast charging stopped working after I installed the K520 — the phone only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, some charge ICs refuse to negotiate the fast-charge protocol until the BMS on the new cell has completed at least one standard-rate charge. This is a deliberate handshake — the charge IC won't push high current into a cell it hasn't verified. Let the phone complete one full charge at standard rate without any fast-charge cable. On the second cycle, reconnect your fast charger and the protocol negotiation should resume normally.

The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — goes from 60% to 45% in seconds — is the K520 faulty?

This is almost always the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against the new cell, not a defective battery. The IC uses a stored discharge model from the old cell; when the new K520's voltage doesn't match those stored reference points, the percentage reading swings to compensate. Discharge the phone fully until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without unplugging early. After that single calibration cycle, the percentage reading should stabilise and track accurately.
