Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tizi EQ20644 — 3.7V Li-ion 1050mAh Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V Li-ion cell rated at 1050mAh (3.89Wh), built to fit the Tizi EQ20644 smartphone. It replaces the original cell when capacity has dropped and the phone no longer holds a usable charge. Physical dimensions are 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.60mm — verify these against your original cell before installing.
- EQ20644 fit confirmation: The EQ20644 runs a standard 3.7V single-cell architecture. This replacement matches the voltage rail and connector pinout required by that platform. No adapter or modification is needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench and monitored BMS behaviour throughout. The protection circuit responded correctly at both low-voltage cutoff and charge termination — no false trips observed.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before any high-current session pushes charge into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the EQ20644 after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity defect. When the modem transmits or the screen peaks in brightness, current draw spikes sharply. An uncalibrated fuel gauge IC reads the resulting voltage sag as a hard cutoff and shuts the phone down — even though percentage still shows 20–30%. Running one full discharge cycle to 0% and a full charge back to 100% at standard rate recalibrates the coulomb counter. After that cycle, the reported percentage tracks actual cell state accurately under load.
EQ20644 not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charging to prevent damage to an over-discharged cell. The phone will not respond to a standard charger in this state. Connect the device to a charger and leave it undisturbed for 15–30 minutes — most charge ICs will trickle current into the cell at a reduced rate to bring voltage back above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 2.9–3.0V, before resuming normal charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Tizi EQ20644 keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. This is a fuel gauge IC calibration issue — the coulomb counter inside the phone is still mapped to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the voltage drop under modem or screen load as a dead battery. Run one full discharge to 0% followed by a complete charge to 100% at the standard charge rate without fast charging enabled. After that single cycle, the shutdowns at 25% should stop.
The battery percentage on my EQ20644 is jumping around erratically after the replacement — it went from 60% to 34% in two minutes without me doing anything.
Erratic percentage jumps are a normal symptom of a fuel gauge IC recalibrating against a new cell. The coulomb counter accumulated error over the life of the old cell, and it has not yet established an accurate baseline for the new one. Let the phone discharge fully until it powers off on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. One complete cycle is usually enough for the fuel gauge to settle — after that, percentage reporting stabilises.
Fast charging stopped working on my EQ20644 right after I swapped the battery — it only slow-charges now.
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes falls back to standard current because it has not yet confirmed the new BMS handshake or cell impedance profile. This is a protective behaviour, not a hardware fault. Charge the phone fully at the reduced rate, let it discharge normally, then plug in again — most charge controllers re-enable higher current input once they have completed one full cycle against the new cell. If fast charging still does not engage after two full cycles, check that the original fast-charge cable and adapter are in use, as USB-PD negotiation depends on the adapter, not just the battery.
