Fits Tiptel 6011 and Ergophone 6010, 6011, 6020 models — replaces OEM part numbers AK54 and SD474050A.
3.7V, 1050mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full charge capacity to restore normal talk and standby time.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with a single locking tab — no adapter needed.
We cycled this cell on a 6011 test unit; the BMS accepted charge immediately with flat voltage curve.
On first use, disable any fast-charge setting for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge profile.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tiptel Ergophone 6011 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AK54)

This is a 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion cell for the Tiptel Ergophone 6010, 6011, and 6020 series mobile phones. It replaces OEM part number AK54 (also cross-referenced as SD474050A). Fit the cell when the original no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • Ergophone 6010 / 6011 / 6020 compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions (53.00 × 33.90 × 5.60mm), the same 3.7V rail, and the same AK54 connector pinout — one cell covers the whole platform without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Ergophone platform. The BMS accepted the charge handshake cleanly, held voltage above 3.6V through mid-cycle, and triggered the low-voltage cutoff at the expected floor without false trips.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before it starts reporting accurate percentages on the status bar.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Ergophone 6011

This happens when the cell voltage drops below what the modem and display draw can sustain — even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. The original cell's discharge curve was mapped into the coulomb counter over many cycles. A new cell has a slightly different curve, so the OS cuts power before the gauge catches up. One full discharge-charge cycle without interruption resets the reference. After that, the shutdown threshold aligns with the new cell's actual voltage floor.

Battery percentage jumping erratically after fitting the replacement

The fuel gauge IC on the Ergophone 6011 holds a learned model of the old cell's impedance and capacity. Drop in a new cell and that model is stale — the percentage can jump 10–15 points in either direction during the first few charge cycles. This is not a faulty cell. Let the phone discharge to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. Repeat once more if the jumps persist — two full cycles are usually enough for the counter to converge on the new cell's actual state of charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Ergophone 6011 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is it dead?

Likely not dead — the BMS has locked out because the cell dropped below 2.5V during storage. Connect the phone to a low-current charger (a standard 5V USB wall adapter, not a fast charger) and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The BMS needs a trickle current to recover from deep-discharge lockout before it will allow a normal charge cycle to begin. If the charging indicator appears after that window, the cell is recovering — let it charge fully before powering on.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in the Ergophone 6011 after fitting this battery — normal?

Yes, this is expected on the first cycle. The charge IC negotiates current limits based on the cell's impedance reading, and a new cell reads higher impedance than a broken-in one. The phone's charging protocol defaults to a conservative current until it has completed one full cycle and confirmed the cell is stable. Charge fully at standard speed once, then fast charging will re-engage on the next session.

The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging with the new cell — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth on the first few charge cycles is normal. A new high-impedance cell converts slightly more energy to heat as the charge IC ramps current in. If the back of the phone is uncomfortable to hold or the device shows an overtemperature warning, remove it from the charger and check that the battery contacts are seated flat — a lifted contact increases resistance and heat. Normal break-in warmth should reduce noticeably after two or three full charge cycles.
