Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo iQOO Neo 855S Racing — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-H5)
This is a 3.85V, 4400mAh (16.94Wh) lithium-polymer cell built to replace the original B-H5 battery in the Vivo iQOO Neo 855S Racing. It fits the V1936TL and V1936L variants using the same connector and physical footprint. When the factory cell loses capacity or fails to hold voltage under load, this replaces it.
- iQOO Neo 855S Racing, V1936TL, V1936L: All three model numbers share the same chassis, battery bay dimensions (85.30 × 64.05 × 4.60mm), and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers the full lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran charge and discharge cycles through a full voltage sweep from 4.35V to 3.0V cutoff. The BMS accepted the cell cleanly, and protection circuits responded correctly at both ends of the curve.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current protocols push significant charge into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% after fitting a new cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still referencing the discharge curve of the degraded original cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff at lower states of charge than the old one, so the phone cuts power before the percentage display reaches zero. The Snapdragon 855+ modem and display draw enough current during peak loads to pull cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold faster than the gauge expects. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard current resets the coulomb counter and resolves the mismatch.
Fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
Vivo's proprietary fast-charge protocol performs a handshake between the charger IC and the BMS on each new charge session. On a freshly installed cell, the BMS may default to standard 5V charging until it completes an initial calibration pass. Disconnect and reconnect the charger after the phone has been on for two minutes — this re-triggers the handshake. If fast charge still does not activate, complete one full cycle at standard charge current first, then retry with the original Vivo adapter.

Frequently Asked Questions
My iQOO Neo 855S Racing won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
Likely not dead, but the BMS has locked out the cell because voltage dropped below 2.5V per cell during storage. Connect the original Vivo charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without attempting to power on — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS will unlock normal charging. If the charging indicator appears after that window, the cell is recovering; let it charge to at least 15% before booting the device.
The battery percentage on my Neo 855S Racing jumps around erratically — shows 45%, then suddenly drops to 12% without warning.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve after a cell swap. The original calibration data stored in the gauge does not match the new cell's chemistry profile, so voltage readings translate to inaccurate state-of-charge percentages. Run two complete discharge cycles — drain the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard current, no fast charge. The gauge stabilises after the second full cycle.
The phone gets noticeably warm near the back panel while charging the new cell — is the replacement battery faulty?
Not a fault. A new lithium-polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a cell that has completed break-in cycles, so the charge IC dissipates more heat during the first few charge sessions. This is most noticeable during the constant-current phase below 80%. The warmth should reduce after three to five full charge cycles as impedance drops. If the phone reaches a temperature that triggers a thermal warning on-screen, switch to a 5V/1A charger for break-in and return to fast charging once the cell has cycled.
