Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo Z5 / V1921 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-H3)
This is a 3.85V, 4400mAh (16.94Wh) lithium-polymer cell for the Vivo Z5 and V1921 smartphones. It replaces OEM part number B-H3 and fits the same connector and battery bay as the original. Use this when the stock cell no longer holds a usable charge or the phone shuts off unexpectedly under load.
- Z5 and V1921 platform fit: Both models share the same PCB battery connector, BMS handshake protocol, and physical bay dimensions — 86.70 × 62.80 × 4.60mm. One cell part number covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Z5 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without triggering fault flags, and the charge IC stepped through trickle, CC, and CV phases correctly at standard current.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Vivo Z5 after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff, not a capacity fault. Under modem or display load, cell voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold before the fuel gauge reaches zero. The old cell's discharge curve is still stored in the coulomb counter, so the reported percentage is ahead of actual voltage. One full uninterrupted discharge cycle — from 100% to auto-shutdown — then a full charge resets the counter against the new cell's real curve. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% typically stop.
USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
The charge IC on the Z5 runs a handshake with the BMS before stepping up to fast-charge current. On a fresh cell with no charge history, some units hold the IC in standard 5V/1A mode through the first full cycle as a precaution. This is not a fault with the replacement cell. Let the first charge complete at standard current — subsequent sessions will negotiate fast-charge rates normally once the BMS registers a completed cycle. Confirm fast charge is active by checking the charging notification in Settings → Battery.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Vivo Z5 shows 25% battery and then just cuts off — is the new cell faulty?
It is not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell, so the voltage reading and the percentage reading fall out of sync under load. Run one full uninterrupted discharge — let the phone shut itself off — then charge to 100% without interruption. That single cycle resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual curve and the shutdowns stop.
The battery percentage on my Z5 jumps around erratically after I put in the replacement — what is causing that?
The fuel gauge IC recalibrates continuously against stored cycle data, and after a cell swap that data no longer matches the new cell's impedance and capacity profile. Until the IC completes at least one full reference cycle, percentage readings can skip 5–10% in either direction. Keep the phone off the charger and run it down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that cycle the IC locks onto the new curve and percentage reporting stabilises.
My Vivo Z5 will not power on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage for a few months — how do I recover it?
When a lithium-polymer cell drops below roughly 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks current flow to protect the cell from damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC delivers a low trickle current that brings the cell voltage back above the BMS recovery threshold, at which point the phone will begin a normal charge cycle. If the screen shows no charging indicator after 40 minutes on a wall adapter, the cell voltage has dropped too low to recover and the cell needs replacing.
