Fits Vivo V15 and V1831 models; replaces OEM part number B-G2.
3.85V, 3900mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full charge capacity on the V15 platform.
Connector slides into the battery slot with standard polymer tab orientation and locking seat.
We ran the pack through five full cycles on a Vivo V15 test unit; BMS accepted handshake on first insertion with no fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before USB-PD pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo V15 / V1831 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-G2)

This is a 3.85V, 3900mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Vivo V15 and V1831 smartphones. OEM part number B-G2. It fits directly into these models and restores the phone's ability to hold a full charge when the original cell has degraded or failed.

  • V15 and V1831 platform: Both models run the same battery architecture — identical voltage rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A single B-G2 cell covers the full production run of both device designations.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the B-G2 through full charge and discharge cycles on the V15 platform. The BMS accepted the cell, protection thresholds fired correctly at low voltage, and the charge IC negotiated the expected current without flagging errors.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: Disable fast charging for the first complete discharge-charge cycle after installation. The fuel gauge IC on the V15 is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. One full cycle at standard current lets it build an accurate map of the new cell before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the V15 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still references the discharge curve of the original, degraded cell. When the new cell's voltage drops under modem or screen load, the IC reads a voltage it didn't expect at that state-of-charge and triggers a protective shutdown. The phone isn't faulty — the calibration data is stale. One full discharge to system-off followed by a complete charge cycle rewrites the coulomb counter baseline and stops the early cutoffs.

USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement

On the first charge after fitting a new cell, the charge IC may stay in trickle or standard mode rather than stepping up to fast charge. The BMS on a fresh cell needs to confirm cell impedance and temperature are within range before it allows high-current negotiation. This is normal behaviour and not a fault with the battery or charger. Completing one full standard charge cycle is usually enough — fast charge activates automatically from the second cycle onward once the BMS has profiled the cell.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vivo V15 keeps shutting off at around 25% charge — why does this happen with a new battery?

The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve it mapped for the old, worn-out cell. When the new B-G2 cell's voltage drops sharply under load — during a call or screen-on burst — the IC hits a voltage point it associates with near-empty and cuts power. Do one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard speed. That single cycle resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's curve and the early shutoffs stop.

The battery percentage on my V15 is jumping around erratically after fitting the B-G2 — what's causing that?

Erratic percentage readings come from the fuel gauge IC trying to reconcile live voltage readings with a state-of-charge map built on the old cell. The numbers stabilise as the IC gathers real discharge data from the new cell. Keep the phone off the charger and run it down to below 10% at least once, then charge fully to 100% — after that cycle the IC has enough data to report accurately. If the jumping continues past two full cycles, check that the battery connector is fully seated, as a loose pin causes intermittent voltage read errors.

My V15 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the battery dead?

Lithium-polymer cells in storage self-discharge slowly, and if the B-G2 dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS will have locked the cell out to prevent damage. The phone won't respond to the power button in this state. Connect the original charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes — the charge IC will feed a trickle current to bring the cell above the BMS recovery threshold, after which normal charging resumes. If the charging indicator still doesn't appear after 30 minutes, try a different cable before drawing any other conclusions.
