Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Oppo A52 / CPH2061 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BLP781)
This 3.85V, 3000mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original BLP781 battery in the Oppo A52 (CPH2061). It restores power to a phone that no longer holds charge through a normal day. Voltage and dimensions match the original: 88.40 × 62.43 × 4.00mm.
- A52 and CPH2061 fitment: Both model references share the same PCB layout, BMS handshake protocol, and BLP781 connector pinout — one cell covers both variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the A52 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, and the charge IC progressed normally through CC and CV phases.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The phone reads 25% remaining, but the new cell's actual voltage under modem and screen load drops faster than the old curve predicts. The system hits its low-voltage cutoff before the gauge catches up. One full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate — after that, the percentage readout tracks correctly.
VOOC fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
Oppo's VOOC protocol requires the charge IC to confirm cell impedance is within an expected range before switching to high-current mode. A new cell can present slightly elevated impedance on cycle one, causing the charger to fall back to standard 5V/1A input. This is not a fault with the cell or the adapter. Complete one full standard charge cycle — impedance normalises and VOOC re-engages on the next charge without any further action.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Oppo A52 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
The BLP781 cell's BMS locks out below approximately 2.5V to prevent cell damage, and storage discharge can push it past that threshold. Connect the phone to the original Oppo charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS unlock voltage before normal charging begins. If the charging LED doesn't appear within 40 minutes, try a different cable to rule out a current-limiting connection. Once the LED activates, let the phone reach at least 15% before booting.
The battery percentage on my A52 keeps jumping — it'll show 45%, then suddenly drop to 31% or skip upward without charging.
The fuel gauge IC on the A52 uses a coulomb counter calibrated to the original cell's charge and discharge curve. After a cell swap, those reference points no longer match the new cell, so the reported percentage skips as the IC tries to reconcile measured voltage against its stored curve. Run one complete discharge — screen on, no fast charge — down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single full cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to rebuild its curve against the new cell.
The back of my Oppo A52 feels warm near the battery during the first few charges — is something wrong with the replacement?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a cell that has been cycled a few times. During the constant-current phase of charging, that slightly elevated impedance converts more energy to heat than the worn cell did. The warmth is concentrated near the battery, not the charge port, and it reduces after three to five cycles as impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — or the charging LED cuts out early, check that the charger output matches Oppo's specified 5V/2A or VOOC rating before continuing.
