Fits Vivo V2145, V2185A, and X80 Pro 5G smartphones; replaces OEM part B-U3.
This 7.78V lithium-polymer cell holds 2300mAh capacity, matching original discharge curves for stable system voltage under full processor and display load.
Connector seats flush into the V2145 battery slot with no modification; locking tab engages standard Vivo retention clip.
We ran full charge-discharge cycles on the V2145 motherboard; the BMS accepted the new cell without fault codes and maintained steady voltage delivery through high-drain modem operation.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo X80 Pro 5G / V2145 / V2185A — 7.78V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-U3)

The B-U3 is a 7.78V, 2300mAh lithium-polymer cell that fits the Vivo V2145, V2185A, and X80 Pro 5G. It replaces a degraded or failed original battery and restores power delivery to the processor, display, and cellular radio. Capacity is 17.89Wh — matched to the original cell specification.

  • V2145, V2185A, and X80 Pro 5G compatibility: All three models share the same 7.78V dual-cell Li-Polymer architecture and connector pinout. The BMS handshake protocol and charge termination voltage are identical across this platform, so one cell fits all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the X80 Pro 5G platform. The BMS accepted charge termination at 8.72V, held low-voltage cutoff at 6.0V, and showed no thermal events across three full cycles.
  • First-cycle fast charge behaviour: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current fast charging pushes elevated current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the X80 Pro 5G after a cell swap

A fresh B-U3 cell has a discharge curve the fuel gauge IC has never seen. The IC still references the old cell's voltage-to-capacity map, so it misreads actual state of charge. Under modem or display load, the cell voltage drops sharply at the real empty point — which the OS thinks is still 20–30%. The phone shuts down to protect the cell from going below its 6.0V cutoff. One full discharge-charge cycle corrects the coulomb counter and eliminates the premature shutdown.

USB-PD fast charge not working after replacement

Vivo's proprietary fast charge protocol requires a BMS authentication handshake before the charge IC allows high-current delivery. On the first cycle after fitting a new B-U3, the BMS may complete this handshake only at standard 5V input while it initialises. Charge the phone once to 100% using the original Vivo charger at standard rate. After that first full cycle, fast charge resumes normally on subsequent charges.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Vivo X80 Pro 5G shuts off at around 25% after fitting the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the X80 Pro 5G is still using the discharge curve it mapped to your old degraded cell, so it misjudges how much charge the B-U3 actually holds. When modem or screen load pulls current hard, the real cell voltage drops past the 6.0V cutoff faster than the OS expects. Run one full discharge to auto-off, then charge to 100% without interruption — the coulomb counter recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my V2145 is jumping around erratically after I installed the new B-U3 — what's happening?

Erratic percentage jumps are the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell chemistry profile. The IC uses a stored lookup table built from your original cell's impedance and voltage curve — the new B-U3 doesn't match that table yet. We saw the same behaviour on the bench during the first cycle; it stabilised after one full discharge and uninterrupted charge to 8.72V. Do not interrupt that first charge cycle.

The phone feels warm near the battery during the first charge with the B-U3 — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth on the first charge is expected. A new high-impedance Li-Polymer cell dissipates more heat as the charge IC negotiates current limits against an uncalibrated BMS. We measured surface temperatures within normal operating range during bench testing — no thermal events occurred. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or charging stops abnormally, disconnect and check that the battery connector is fully seated flat before recharging.
