The R212 runs two radios at once — a cellular modem and a WiFi access point. Keeping connected device count below the R212's rated maximum reduces these spikes and keeps the BMS from intervening.

R212 not powering on after sitting unused for several weeks

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge at roughly 2–3% per month. If the R212 was stored with a low charge, the cell can drop below the BMS's minimum boot voltage — typically around 3.0V — and the device simply won't start. Connect the R212 to its charger and leave it for at least 20–30 minutes before attempting to power it on; most BMS circuits require a brief pre-charge trickle to wake a deeply discharged cell. If the charge LED activates, the cell is recovering. If there is no LED response after 45 minutes, check the charger output is stable at 5V.
