Fits Panasonic MC-RS53, MC-WRS53, MC-WRC53 robotic vacuum cleaners replacing OEM battery pack.
14.8V lithium-ion at 2600mAh delivers 38.48Wh — adequate power for autonomous floor cleaning cycles.
Connector slides into battery dock with vertical orientation; locking tab secures flush against vacuum housing.
Bench testing confirmed BMS accepts full charge cycle without fault codes; voltage regulation stable under suction load.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock permanently — continuous trickle charging degrades capacity significantly faster than charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic MC-RS53 / MC-WRS53 / MC-WRC53 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 14.8V 2600mAh (38.48Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Panasonic MC-RS53, MC-WRS53, and MC-WRC53 robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original cell pack when the unit stops holding charge or fails to complete a cleaning cycle. Voltage and physical dimensions match the factory specification exactly.

  • MC-RS53 / MC-WRS53 / MC-WRC53 platform: All three models run the same 14.8V four-cell Li-ion pack on a shared chassis. The battery connector, BMS communication line, and cell housing dimensions are identical across the range — one replacement covers all three variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the pack through full charge-discharge cycles on a MC-RS53 unit. The BMS handshake cleared on first connection, charge acceptance was normal, and the motor draw held steady across hard floor and carpet transitions without triggering an overcurrent trip.
  • Dock charging practice for robotic vacuums: These robots auto-dock and stay connected to the charger indefinitely between cycles. Leaving the unit on the dock continuously accelerates capacity fade through trickle charge stress. Charge the battery to full, then remove it from the dock if the unit won't run again for several days.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On the MC-RS53, suction loss mid-cycle usually isn't a dead battery — it's voltage sag under motor load. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws above its rated current to maintain airflow. That extra draw pulls cell voltage down faster than the indicator tracks, and the robot slows or pauses before the low-battery warning fires. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest. If suction holds steady after that, the battery was not the cause.

Motor cuts out and restarts on its own mid-cycle

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a fault in the battery cell itself. Sustained restricted airflow — usually a clogged filter or brush roll tangle — pushes motor current past the BMS protection threshold, and the pack shuts output to prevent cell damage. The BMS resets automatically once current drops, which is why the unit restarts after a short pause. Clear the restriction, check that the brush roll spins freely, and confirm the filter is clean before running another cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MC-RS53 keeps stopping mid-clean and restarting itself — is the new battery faulty?

Almost certainly not the battery. When the brush roll is tangled or the filter is clogged, the motor draws more current than the BMS allows, and the pack cuts output to protect the cells — then resets once load drops. Remove the brush roll, clear any hair or debris, and clean or replace the filter. Run a fresh cycle and the cutout should stop.

The robot is docking fine but the new battery drains noticeably faster than it did when first installed — what causes that?

Continuous dock charging is the most common cause. The MC-RS53 stays connected to the charger between every cycle, and that constant trickle current stresses lithium cells over time, reducing how much charge the pack holds. Charge to full, then manually remove the unit from the dock if it won't run again for a day or more. Cycling the battery through fuller discharge before recharging slows capacity fade significantly.

The replacement battery installed fine but the MC-RS53 won't start a cleaning cycle — it just sits on the dock with no response.

Some Panasonic robotic vacuum chargers expect a BMS handshake before releasing charge current, and occasionally a new pack needs one full charge attempt to initialise communication. Seat the battery firmly, place the unit on the dock, and leave it for a complete charge cycle — typically indicated by the charge light changing state. If the unit still won't respond after a full charge, check that the battery contacts on the robot and dock are clean and making solid contact; oxidised contacts block the signal at around 5V before the main charge path opens.
