Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiko Power U20 / U30 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (4867A2)
This is a 3.85V, 5800mAh Li-Polymer cell replacing OEM part 4867A2 in the Wiko Power U20 and Power U30 smartphones. It fits both models because they share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. Capacity matches OEM spec at 22.33Wh.
- Power U20 and U30 compatibility: Both handsets run the same battery bay at 103.90 × 66.70 × 4.60mm with an identical connector and BMS handshake line. One cell fits both without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full discharge and charge sequences on compatible hardware. The BMS accepted charge current correctly, the protection circuit tripped at the expected low-voltage threshold, and coulomb counting resumed normally after the first complete cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins. Skipping this step often causes the OS to report incorrect percentages for the first several cycles.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Power U20 after a cell swap
The Wiko Power U20's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell in memory. When a new cell is installed, the IC misreads the voltage profile and triggers a low-battery shutdown well before the cell is actually depleted. This is a calibration mismatch, not a fault in the replacement cell. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a full charge to 100% with fast charging disabled — the fuel gauge IC resets its learned curve against the new cell's actual voltage floor, and shutdowns at false percentages stop.
USB fast charge not engaging on the first cycle after replacement
On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the Power U20's charge IC may negotiate only standard 5V charging rather than its faster protocol. This happens because the new BMS starts with a conservative charge-acceptance state until it has completed one full cycle and confirmed cell health. Do not force a fast-charge adapter on the first cycle. Charge once at standard rate to 100%, then disconnect — fast charging will engage normally on the next charge session once the BMS has cleared its initial safety hold.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Wiko Power U20 keeps shutting off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the Power U20 holds the old discharge curve in memory, so it triggers shutdown before the new cell is actually depleted. Run one complete drain to auto-shutdown followed by a full charge with fast charging turned off. After that single calibration cycle, the fuel gauge IC recalculates against the new cell's voltage floor and the early shutdowns stop.
The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — what's wrong?
If the cell discharged below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS locks out to prevent damage and the phone will not power on normally. Connect the phone to a low-current charger — a standard 5W USB adapter works better here than a fast charger — and leave it for 30–45 minutes without attempting to power on. The BMS recovery circuit trickle-charges the cell back above the reinitialisation threshold, after which the phone will boot and charge normally.
The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — showing 60%, then 45%, then back to 55% within minutes — after fitting the 4867A2 replacement.
This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating its coulomb counter against an unfamiliar cell chemistry profile. It has no stable reference curve yet, so percentage readings are unreliable until it completes a full learning cycle. Drain the phone fully until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging disabled. The coulomb counter locks onto the new cell's actual capacity after this single full cycle and erratic percentage jumping stops.
