Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip — 3.88V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BF700ABY)
The EB-BF700ABY is a 3.88V, 2300mAh Li-Polymer cell for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip foldable smartphone. It fits SM-F7000, SM-F700W/DS, SM-F700N, and related variants. Install this when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down before the percentage hits zero.
- Z Flip foldable platform fit: The SM-F700 series shares a single battery bay and BMS handshake across regional variants. The same connector pinout, cell dimensions (63.55 × 45.80 × 4.65mm), and charge IC communication protocol run across all listed models, which is why one cell covers the full lineup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an SM-F700 unit. The BMS accepted the cell on first connection, charge termination triggered correctly at full capacity, and the protection circuit responded normally to simulated load spikes from the modem and display.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the coulomb counter begins tracking incremental charge states.
Why the Z Flip reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The fuel gauge IC in the SM-F700 stores a learned discharge curve from the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry, so the percentage readout drifts — sometimes by 10–15 points. The IC needs one full reference cycle to rebuild its model. Run the phone from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging off. After that cycle, the reported percentage should track actual cell voltage closely.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under high-current load — the modem transmitting, the foldable display refreshing at full brightness — faster than the fuel gauge IC predicted. The IC thinks 25% capacity remains, but the cell voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold under that draw and the phone cuts off. It is a calibration gap, not a faulty cell. Perform the single full discharge-charge reference cycle described above; after recalibration, the shutdown threshold should align with the real voltage floor near 3.40V.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Z Flip won't power on after sitting in a drawer for a few months — is the battery dead?
Probably not dead, but the BMS may have locked out the cell after voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V during storage. Plug into a wall charger — not a computer USB port — and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. If the charge IC detects a recoverable cell voltage, it will trickle-charge the cell back into the normal operating window and the phone will boot. If nothing happens after 45 minutes on a known-good charger, the cell has likely over-discharged past recovery.
Fast charging stopped working the first time I charged the replacement battery — is the charger faulty?
The charger is probably fine. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS on the new cell occasionally rejects the USB-PD or Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging handshake until it completes one standard-rate charge. Unplug, switch to a basic 5W charger, and run one full charge to 100%. On the next charge with your fast charger, the BMS should accept the high-current handshake normally.
The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — skipping from 60% to 45% in seconds without heavy use.
This is the coulomb counter recalibrating against a discharge curve it has not yet learned. The SM-F700 fuel gauge IC inherited data from the old cell and is now misreading state-of-charge on the new one. Run one uninterrupted discharge from 100% down to automatic shutdown, then charge fully at standard rate with fast charging disabled. That single reference cycle resets the counter's learned curve and the percentage readout stabilises.
