Fits Samsung Galaxy Z Flip (SM-F7000, SM-F700W/DS, SM-F700N) and replaces OEM part EB-BF701ABY.
3.85V and 850mAh lithium polymer cell matches original capacity to restore full charge cycles.
Connector slides into the battery slot with locking tab aligned; no adhesive removal needed for this model.
We tested the pack on a Galaxy Z Flip; BMS accepted the cell without fault codes on first insertion and voltage held steady across a full discharge cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BF701ABY)

This is a 3.85V, 850mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip foldable smartphone. It carries OEM part number EB-BF701ABY and fits SM-F7000, SM-F700W/DS, SM-F700N, and related variants. Replace this cell when the original has degraded past the point of holding a useful charge through a normal day.

  • Z Flip SM-F700 platform fit: The SM-F700 series shares a single battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol across all regional variants. The EB-BF701ABY cell slots into all of them without modification to the flex connector or charge IC communication lines.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on an SM-F700 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without a fault flag, charge current ramped correctly through CC and CV phases, and the protection circuit tripped cleanly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. The coulomb counter in the fuel gauge IC calibrates against the new cell's discharge curve during this cycle — skipping it can leave the IC reading against the old cell's profile, causing erratic percentage jumps early on.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Z Flip after a cell swap

The Z Flip's Snapdragon 855 platform pulls a sharp current spike when the modem switches between LTE bands or the foldable display refreshes at full brightness. A new cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC can report 25% remaining while the actual resting voltage has already dropped to near the BMS cutoff threshold under that load. The protection circuit reads the voltage sag as a fault and shuts the board down before the OS can intervene. Run that full recalibration cycle first — after one complete discharge below 5% and a full charge to 100%, the IC maps the new cell's voltage-to-capacity curve and the shutdowns stop.

USB-PD fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement

After a cell swap, the charge IC on the Z Flip sometimes stays in trickle mode and will not negotiate the fast charge handshake with the charger on the first session. This happens because the IC starts in a conservative recovery state when it detects a new cell — it checks internal resistance before allowing high-current input. Plug into a Samsung 25W USB-PD adapter, let the phone charge uninterrupted to 100% without removing the cable, and the IC will clear the conservative flag. Fast charging activates normally on the next session once the cell's impedance reading is logged.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Z Flip powers off at around 25% battery after I put in the new cell — why does it keep doing this?

The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the new cell's voltage under load. When the Snapdragon modem or display pulls a current spike, the actual cell voltage sags below the BMS cutoff even though the screen shows 25% remaining, and the board shuts down. Run one full discharge cycle — drain the phone past 5%, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging off. After that cycle the coulomb counter remaps to the new cell and the shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my Z Flip is jumping around after the replacement — it jumped from 60% straight to 41% with no warning.

Erratic percentage readings after a cell swap are a fuel gauge IC calibration issue, not a defective battery. The IC's internal model of charge versus voltage was built around the original cell's chemistry profile, and the new cell's discharge curve doesn't match it yet. One full uninterrupted discharge-to-charge cycle — from below 5% to 100% — forces the IC to replot its capacity map against the actual cell. The jumping stops once that recalibration completes.

My Z Flip feels warm near the battery area while it charges after the replacement. Is something wrong?

Mild warmth during the first few charge sessions on a new cell is normal. A fresh Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, and the charge IC pushes current into that higher resistance, generating more heat than usual during the constant-current phase. This settles after two or three full charge cycles as impedance drops. If the phone becomes too hot to hold or the charge IC throws a temperature fault and stops charging, let the phone cool to room temperature and restart the charge session — the thermal sensor cutoff sits around 45°C and will re-enable the charger once the temperature drops below that threshold.
