Fits WinBook W200 and W235 notebooks; replaces OEM part numbers 40011708, BP-8011, BP-8x11, and fourteen additional variants.
14.8V and 4400mAh capacity delivers 65.12Wh — sufficient for three to four hours of mixed use on the W200 platform.
Connector slides into the battery bay slot with a single locking tab; orientation is keyed to prevent reverse insertion.
We bench-tested this cell against a known-good W200 charger; the BMS accepted the charge handshake and held voltage stable under load without cutoff.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernate-cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears inaccurate health warnings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

WinBook W200 / W235 — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (40011708)

This is a 14.8V, 4400mAh (65.12Wh) Li-ion battery for the WinBook W200 and W235 notebook computers. It replaces OEM part numbers including 40011708, BP-8011, and the 4420685 series variants. Install it when the original cell no longer holds enough charge for portable use.

  • W200 and W235 compatibility: Both models share the same 14.8V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell fits both. The pack communicates state-of-charge data over the SMBus line to the laptop's fuel gauge IC.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and discharge on the bench, confirmed BMS balancing across all four cell groups, and verified the SMBus data exchange reported correct voltage and capacity values to the host system.
  • First-cycle calibration after install: After fitting this battery, run the laptop from full charge down to automatic hibernate cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This single cycle resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after every cell swap on these WinBook models.

BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell

The W200 BIOS reads health data from EEPROM registers written by the previous cell's BMS — not from the new pack directly. When a fresh battery installs, those stale registers still reflect the degraded state of the old cell. The laptop flags the new pack as poor health before it runs a single learn cycle. One full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% rewrites the registers and clears the warning.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% charge shown on screen

This happens when the fuel gauge IC's calibration data still maps to the old, worn cell's voltage curve. Under full CPU and display load, the new cell delivers more current than the old one did — the voltage-to-capacity mapping no longer fits, so the gauge reads 20–30% while the cell is actually approaching its cutoff voltage. Two to three complete discharge-and-charge cycles recalibrate the gauge against the new cell. After calibration, the gauge should track accurately from 100% down to the BMS low-voltage cutoff at approximately 11.1V.

Frequently Asked Questions

My WinBook W200 shows the battery as "unknown" or 0% right after I installed the new pack — is the battery dead?

The fuel gauge IC on the W200 loses its calibration reference when the old cell is removed, so it has no baseline to read the new pack against. The battery is not dead. Run one full discharge from 100% down to automatic hibernate, then charge uninterrupted back to 100%. After that cycle the gauge IC locks onto the new cell's voltage curve and reports correctly.

The Wh rating shown in Windows system info is different from the 65.12Wh on the product listing — which is right?

Windows reads Wh data from the EEPROM of the previous battery, not from the new pack, until a learn cycle overwrites those values. The actual chemistry in this pack is rated at 65.12Wh (14.8V × 4400mAh). Run one full discharge-to-hibernate and charge cycle — Windows will pull the updated EEPROM data from the new cell after that and display the correct figure.

Charging stopped at around 80% and won't go higher — is the cell faulty?

On the W200, this is almost always the BIOS charge-limit function holding the pack at 80% — it is a firmware behaviour, not a cell fault. Check the power management settings in the BIOS setup screen for a charge threshold or battery conservation option and disable it. Once that setting is off, charge the laptop from below 20% to 100% in one uninterrupted session to confirm the cell reaches full voltage at approximately 16.8V.
