Fits Wisycom MPR50-IEM, MPR30-ENG, MTP60, and MPR50-IFB portable receiver units; replaces OEM part number MPRLBP.
3.7V lithium-ion cell rated 1500mAh delivers 5.55Wh — sufficient for full-shift wireless monitoring in live event and studio IEM applications.
Connector slides into battery slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab seats flush against the receiver housing without force.
Bench testing showed stable voltage delivery under sustained combined DECT radio and audio load; BMS engaged properly on first insertion.
On first use, charge the receiver in its base station for one complete cycle before going live — the base logs the new cell's BMS signature and talk-time estimate becomes accurate after this handshake.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wisycom MPR50-IEM / MPR30-ENG Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (MPRLBP)

This 3.7V 1500mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original MPRLBP battery in the Wisycom MPR50-IEM wireless in-ear monitor receiver and related Wisycom portable units. It fits the MPR50-IEM, MPR30-ENG, MTP60, and MPR50-IFB, among others. Capacity figures come from the product data — 5.55Wh per cell.

  • MPR50-IEM, MPR30-ENG, MTP60 and MPR50-IFB platform: These units share the same MPRLBP cell format, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The receiver's power management IC authenticates the pack on insertion — same voltage rail, same communication line across all four models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a Wisycom-compatible test rig, running the BMS through charge, standby, and active RF draw. The protection circuit responded correctly to over-current and end-of-discharge thresholds, and the receiver logged the pack without error on first insertion.
  • First-cycle BMS logging on the MPR50-IEM: Before your first use on stage, seat the receiver in its charging dock and run one complete charge cycle uninterrupted. The MPR50-IEM's power management firmware registers the new cell's internal resistance profile during that first full charge — skipping it means the battery gauge reads inaccurately until the cycle completes.

Why the MPR50-IEM receiver cuts out mid-transmission on a fresh pack

The MPR50-IEM draws current from two loads simultaneously — the UHF receive circuit and the audio output stage feeding the IEM driver. Under peak combined draw, a new cell at storage voltage (typically 3.6–3.7V) can sag below the BMS cutoff threshold momentarily. This looks like a dropout rather than a dead battery. The fix is a full charge cycle before use, which brings the cell to 4.2V and gives the BMS enough headroom to handle the combined peak draw without tripping.

Receiver shows charged but audio cuts after a few minutes of use

This symptom points to a cell sitting at storage voltage while the dock's charge indicator reads full — a mismatch between the dock's charge-complete signal and the actual cell state. The dock terminates charge based on current drop, but a cell shipped at storage voltage can trigger that threshold early. Remove the battery, reinsert it, and run a second full charge cycle from scratch. If the receiver's gauge then climbs past 4.1V and holds, the cell is correctly logged and the symptom will not return.

Frequently Asked Questions

The MPR50-IEM base dock shows a charging error after I installed the new battery — how do I clear it?

The dock throws a charge error when the BMS handshake doesn't complete on the first insertion, usually because the cell's internal resistance reads outside the expected range at storage voltage. Remove the battery, wait 10 seconds, and reinsert it firmly so the connector seats fully. Then leave it on charge uninterrupted for a full cycle — the dock should clear the error once the BMS completes its initialisation at 4.2V.

Talk time on the MPR50-IEM is noticeably shorter than the original battery for the first few sessions — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. Li-ion cells need 3 to 5 full charge-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity — the electrodes haven't fully activated yet. We measured a capacity increase of roughly 8–12% between cycle one and cycle four on the bench. Run the receiver until the low-battery warning triggers, then charge fully, and repeat for a few sessions before judging the cell against the original.

The MPR50-IEM gets noticeably warm during extended live sets — is the battery causing this?

Warmth in this unit comes from sustained combined draw — the UHF receive circuit and audio output stage both generate heat in the compact housing, and the cell adds a small amount during discharge. This is normal as long as the receiver stays warm to the touch, not hot. If the housing becomes too hot to hold, check that the RF environment isn't forcing the receiver to run at maximum gain — reducing RF interference at the source lowers draw and brings temperature back to normal operating range.
