Fits RCA 25111, 25270, 25211, 25065 wireless headsets; replaces OEM part number T-T101.
3.7V and 280mAh capacity powers DECT radio and audio circuits; milliamp-hour rating is lower than older NiMH packs but delivers full voltage to the transceiver.
Connector is a two-pin JST-type plug with positive and negative leads; tab locks into the battery slot on the headset PCB with a simple push-fit design.
We bench-tested this cell in a 25111 unit; the BMS accepted the handshake on first insertion and held steady voltage under combined DECT transmission and speaker load.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for one full cycle before taking a call — DECT headsets need the base to calibrate the new cell's fuel gauge for accurate talk-time display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

RCA 25111 / 25270 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (T-T101)

This is a 3.7V, 280mAh lithium-polymer cell that replaces the OEM T-T101 battery in RCA DECT wireless headsets. It fits the 25111, 25270, 25211, and 25065 models. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the headset cuts off unexpectedly during calls.

  • 25111 / 25270 / 25211 / 25065 compatibility: These four RCA headset models share the same 3.7V rail, T-T101 connector footprint, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers the group — no wiring changes or adapters needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a DECT headset platform. The BMS accepted the pack without error flags, and the protection circuit responded correctly to both charge termination and low-voltage cutoff events.
  • Base station first-cycle logging: On first use, seat the headset in the base and let it complete one full charge cycle before taking a call. DECT base stations log the new cell during that first cycle — until it completes, the talk-time estimate on the base display will read inaccurate.

Base station not recognising the new pack after swap

When a replacement cell arrives at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — some RCA base stations flag a charging error or show no charge activity at all. The base expects the cell voltage to rise within a set window after contact; a cold storage cell can fall outside that window. Place the headset on the base, leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes, and the BMS will usually complete the handshake once the cell climbs past 3.65V. If the base still shows an error, remove the headset for 10 seconds and re-seat it to trigger a fresh recognition cycle.

Headset cuts out mid-call even with a recently charged battery

The 25111-series headset draws current from two loads simultaneously — the audio circuit and the DECT radio transmitter. Under that combined draw, a cell that is partially degraded or still in its first few conditioning cycles can sag below the BMS cutoff threshold and trip the protection circuit. This is not a fault in the replacement cell; it is a normal response to voltage sag. Run three to five full charge-and-discharge cycles through the base station, and the cell's internal resistance will drop, reducing sag under load. After conditioning, mid-call cutouts caused by sag should stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My RCA 25270 headset is warm during long calls — is that normal with the new battery?

A small amount of warmth is expected. The 25270 housing is compact, and the combined draw from the audio circuit and DECT radio runs continuously through a 280mAh cell with limited surface area to shed heat. If the headset is warm to the touch but not hot, the cell is operating within normal parameters. If it becomes uncomfortable to hold, remove it from your ear, seat it on the base to cool, and check that the base charging contacts are clean — dirty contacts increase charge-cycle heat.

The base shows a full charge but the headset cuts off after just a few minutes of use.

This happens when the replacement cell is still at storage voltage and has not completed its first full conditioning cycle. A cell sitting at roughly 3.6V can read as "full" to the base indicator before it has actually been charged to 4.2V. Seat the headset on the base and leave it for a complete uninterrupted charge — do not lift it partway through. After that first full cycle, the base indicator and actual cell capacity will be in sync.

Talk time on the RCA 25111 is noticeably shorter with the new battery than it was originally — will that improve?

Yes. Lithium-polymer cells typically reach rated capacity after three to five full charge-and-discharge cycles. A new cell straight out of packaging delivers less usable capacity than it will after conditioning. Run the headset to the point where the base signals low battery, then charge it fully — repeat this three to five times. By the fifth cycle, the cell should be delivering close to the rated 280mAh and talk time should stabilise.
