Fits Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro and replaces OEM battery part number BN48.
3.85V and 3900mAh delivers the same charge capacity as the original cell for this device.
Connector attaches to the phone's internal battery port; no adapter or modification needed for reinstallation.
We bench-tested this cell in a Note 6 Pro unit; the BMS accepted the new pack on first boot with no fault codes or charge lockout.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BN48)

This is a 3900mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro smartphone. It fits the standard and Dual SIM variants, including M1806E7TE and M1806E7TC. Rated at 3.85V nominal and 15.02Wh, it replaces the original BN48 cell.

  • Note 6 Pro platform compatibility: The Redmi Note 6 Pro and its regional variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. All variants listed — including Dual SIM models — pull from the same BN48 specification, so one cell covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a Redmi Note 6 Pro unit and monitored BMS communication throughout charge and discharge. The protection circuit responded correctly to charge termination and load cutoff. No false trips were recorded during modem-active discharge sequences.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Redmi Note 6 Pro after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's voltage curve. The new cell hits a voltage cliff under combined modem and display load while the OS still reads 20–30% remaining. The phone sees an undervoltage condition and shuts down before the percentage reaches zero. One complete discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and eliminates this behaviour.

USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement

Xiaomi's proprietary fast charge protocol requires a handshake between the charge IC and the battery BMS before elevated current is permitted. On a fresh cell, the BMS may reject the high-current request on the first cycle because it has no prior charge history to validate against. Charge once at standard rate using the OEM cable and adapter. Fast charging typically activates from the second cycle onward once the BMS registers a completed charge event.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Redmi Note 6 Pro shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the Redmi Note 6 Pro was calibrated to the discharge curve of your old, degraded battery. The new BN48 cell hits a voltage drop under modem or screen load that the OS misreads as 25% remaining. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate — no fast charging yet. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.

The phone feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacement — is something wrong?

This is expected on a fresh high-impedance cell. A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a cell that has been cycled, so the charge IC dissipates a little more heat during the initial charges. The warmth should reduce noticeably after three to five charge cycles as internal resistance drops. If the phone becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, or if charging stops unexpectedly, check that you are using the original Xiaomi adapter — third-party chargers can send unregulated current into an uncalibrated BMS.

The battery percentage jumps around erratically — it reads 60%, drops to 40%, then climbs back up without charging.

Erratic percentage readings on a freshly swapped BN48 are a fuel gauge IC problem, not a cell problem. The coulomb counter is interpolating against the old cell's stored discharge table, and the new cell's voltage response does not match those reference points. Discharge the phone fully until it shuts itself down, then charge to 100% without interruption at standard current. One complete cycle gives the fuel gauge IC enough data points to rebuild an accurate model against the new cell.
