Fits Redmi Note 6 Pro and replaces OEM battery BN48 across all regional variants including M1806E7TE and M1806E7TC models.
This 3.85V, 3900mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge capacity to phones that shut down prematurely or no longer hold adequate power throughout the day.
Connector type is Redmi proprietary; battery slides into the slot with the flex contact facing the charging IC—locking tab engages flush when fully seated.
We bench tested this BN48 cell in a Note 6 Pro chassis; the BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion without fault codes and discharged evenly across the full voltage window.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Redmi Note 6 Pro — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BN48)

The BN48 is a 3.85V, 3900mAh Li-Polymer cell that fits the Redmi Note 6 Pro and Note 6 Pro Dual SIM, including M1806E7TE and M1806E7TC variants. It replaces the original cell when capacity has faded or the phone no longer holds a usable charge. Total energy is 15.02Wh.

  • Note 6 Pro and Dual SIM compatibility: Both the single and Dual SIM Note 6 Pro variants use the same battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake — the BN48 cell fits without modification across all listed model numbers including M1806E7TE and M1806E7TC.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on a Note 6 Pro unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the charge handshake correctly, held voltage above 3.6V under display and modem load, and registered cell capacity accurately through the fuel gauge IC after the first full discharge-charge cycle.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge calibration: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC an accurate discharge curve for the new cell before high-current charging begins against an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Why the Note 6 Pro reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC on the Note 6 Pro stores a learned discharge curve from the original cell. When a new BN48 cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual voltage-to-capacity relationship of the fresh cell. The IC then maps the wrong percentage to the real voltage at any given load. One full discharge down to automatic shutdown, followed by a charge to 100%, forces the IC to re-learn the curve against the new cell. After that cycle, percentage reporting stabilises.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement BN48

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under high-draw loads — modem transmission, screen at full brightness, or GPS — faster than the fuel gauge IC predicted. The phone's protection threshold trips and shuts down even though the reported percentage looks safe. The root cause is the fuel gauge IC still operating on the old cell's profile before recalibration. Run one full discharge-charge cycle, then confirm the phone reads above 3.65V at the 20% mark during normal use.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Note 6 Pro won't turn on at all after fitting the new BN48 — the screen stays completely black

If the replacement cell sat in storage, it may have discharged below the BMS lockout threshold of around 2.5V per cell. Plug in the original charger and leave it connected for 15–20 minutes before attempting a power-on — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell to bring voltage above the BMS recovery threshold before normal charging or boot can proceed. Do not press the power button repeatedly during this window. Once the charging indicator appears on screen, the BMS has cleared the lockout.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery — the phone only charges slowly now

Redmi's proprietary fast charge protocol involves a handshake between the charge IC and the new cell's BMS on the first cycle. Some replacement cells do not accept the elevated current negotiation until after one standard-rate cycle has completed. Disable fast charging in settings, run one full charge to 100% at standard rate, then re-enable fast charging. If the fast charge icon reappears after that cycle, the BMS has completed initialisation.

The battery percentage jumps erratically — it reads 45%, drops to 12%, then climbs back to 38% within minutes

Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a faulty cell. The IC is interpolating against the old cell's stored discharge table and hitting inconsistent voltage-to-capacity mappings under varying load. Charge the phone to 100% without interruption, then discharge in normal use down to automatic shutdown — do not top up mid-cycle. After one uninterrupted full cycle, the coulomb counter resets its baseline and percentage reporting becomes stable.
