Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

XTOOL EZ300 Pro / i80 Pad — 7.4V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PL6065100-2S)

This is a 7.4V 3800mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the XTOOL EZ300 Pro and i80 Pad automotive diagnostic scanners. It replaces OEM part PL6065100-2S and fits the physical cell bay on both models. Use it to restore full scanning capability when the original cell no longer holds a charge.

  • EZ300 Pro and i80 Pad compatibility: Both models share the same 7.4V two-cell Li-Polymer pack format, identical BMS handshake protocol, and the same physical connector. One battery covers both platforms without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on the EZ300 Pro. The BMS reported accurate state-of-charge, protection circuits tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff, and charge acceptance was clean from the first cycle.
  • Pre-swap data export on the EZ300 Pro: Vehicle profiles and saved ECU data on the EZ300 Pro are held in RAM backed by the main battery. Pull those records to a USB drive or sync to XTOOL's cloud before you remove the old cell — pulling the battery without exporting first wipes that data permanently.

Why the EZ300 Pro drops its wireless link during live data streaming

Live data streaming pushes the EZ300 Pro's Wi-Fi or BLE radio at sustained load while the CPU is also processing OBD-II frames. At battery voltages below roughly 6.8V, the power rail feeding the wireless module sags under that combined draw. The scanner stays on, but the radio resets — dropping the vehicle session mid-stream. Replacing a degraded cell restores the headroom that keeps the radio stable through long diagnostic sessions.

EZ300 Pro won't power on after battery swap

A fresh replacement cell ships in a storage-charge state — typically around 3.6V per cell, or 7.2V total. The EZ300 Pro's boot firmware requires a minimum threshold closer to 7.4V before it will start the power-on sequence. If the scanner shows nothing after a swap, charge the new battery for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button. Once the pack reads above 7.4V, the scanner boots normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My EZ300 Pro lost all my saved vehicle profiles after I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes, and it happens because the EZ300 Pro stores vehicle profiles and ECU snapshots in RAM that the main battery keeps live. The moment you pull the old cell, that RAM loses power and the data is gone. Before any battery swap, go to the scanner's export menu and save your records to a USB drive or sync them to XTOOL's cloud portal. Once the new battery is seated and the scanner is back on, you can restore from that export.

The screen on my EZ300 Pro starts dimming well before the battery indicator shows low — what's happening?

The display driver on the EZ300 Pro is sensitive to voltage drop and throttles backlight output before the BMS formally flags a low-battery warning. This usually means the cell's internal resistance has risen enough that it sags under display load even when the reported state-of-charge still looks acceptable. It's a reliable early sign of cell degradation rather than a calibration issue. Swap the battery and the dimming symptom disappears — no display setting changes needed.

My EZ300 Pro keeps cutting the Wi-Fi connection mid-session even with what looks like half a battery charge left — is this a software bug?

It's not software — it's voltage sag. When the battery cell has aged, its internal resistance causes the voltage to dip under the combined load of the CPU processing live OBD frames and the Wi-Fi radio transmitting simultaneously. That dip drops the radio's power rail below its operating floor and forces a reset, which kills the session. The state-of-charge indicator doesn't catch this because it measures resting voltage, not loaded voltage. Fitting a new cell with lower internal resistance stops the sag and keeps the connection stable through full diagnostic sessions.
