Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Autel Maxisys MS906BT / MS906TS — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (MLP4670B1P)
This is a 3.7V, 10000mAh Li-Polymer battery for the Autel Maxisys MS906BT, MS906TS, MS906S, and related MS906 series diagnostic scanners. It replaces OEM part MLP4670B1P. The MS906 series are handheld automotive diagnostic tools used for fault code reading, live data streaming, and bi-directional system tests.
- MS906 series compatibility: The MS906BT, MS906TS, and MS906S share the same battery bay dimensions and connector pinout. All run on the same 3.7V cell architecture with an identical BMS handshake, so one replacement covers the full series without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on MS906 hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, voltage regulation held steady across the display and wireless modules, and thermal behaviour stayed within spec under sustained active use.
- Vehicle profile export before swap: The MS906 stores saved vehicle profiles in RAM backed by the main battery. Pull all saved profiles to a USB drive or sync to MaxiSys PC software before disconnecting the old cell — any profiles not exported will not survive the power cut.
Why the MS906BT screen dims before the battery indicator shows low
The MS906BT display driver pulls from the same voltage rail as the main CPU. As cell voltage sags under load, the display dims before the battery gauge registers a low state — the fuel gauge reads cell capacity, not rail voltage. This is more visible during wireless sessions because the BT module adds draw on the same rail. If screen brightness drops noticeably mid-session, the cell is likely already below 20% usable capacity even if the icon says otherwise. A replacement cell with a full charge resolves this immediately.
MS906 not booting after battery replacement
A fresh Li-Polymer cell shipped in storage state typically sits around 3.2–3.3V — below the MS906's boot threshold. If the scanner shows nothing after swapping the battery, the cell is not faulty; it needs a charge cycle before it will power on. Connect to the OEM charger and leave it for at least 30 minutes before pressing the power button. If the unit still does not respond, check that the connector is fully seated — the MLP4670B1P connector is a snug fit and a partial connection will block the BMS from completing the circuit.

Frequently Asked Questions
The MS906BT powered on after the battery swap but all my saved vehicle profiles are gone — is there any way to recover them?
No — vehicle profiles on the MS906 series are stored in RAM that loses power the moment the battery is disconnected, so they cannot be recovered after the fact. The fix is to export profiles to a USB drive or sync them to MaxiSys PC software before removing the old cell. Going forward, run a sync before any battery work. Autel's MaxiSys PC Suite will store an exact copy of all saved vehicles on your computer.
My MS906BT keeps dropping its Bluetooth connection to the vehicle mid-scan — could this be a battery issue?
Yes. The BT module on the MS906BT requires a stable voltage draw, and a degraded cell sags under combined CPU and wireless load even when the battery gauge reads above 50%. The connection drops when rail voltage dips below the threshold the BT chipset needs to maintain the link. Swap in the new cell and run a full charge cycle to 4.2V before your next session — this eliminates voltage sag as the cause and lets you confirm whether the drop is battery-related or a pairing issue.
The MS906 shows charging but the battery percentage hasn't moved after two hours — is the new cell defective?
Not necessarily. A Li-Polymer cell that arrived in deep storage may take one full slow-charge cycle before the BMS begins accurate state-of-charge reporting. The gauge can appear stuck while the cell is actually absorbing current in the pre-charge phase below 3.0V. Leave it on charge for a full four hours on the first cycle, then power the unit on and check voltage — it should read at or above 3.7V at rest. If the percentage still does not move after a second full charge cycle, the connector seating is the next thing to check.
