Fits Yeacomm M60, S10, S11, S12 cable modems; replaces OEM part Z2000.
7.4V 2600mAh lithium-ion delivers 19.24Wh backup power for sustained modem operation during outages.
Connector seats vertically into modem battery slot with friction latch; no external housing required.
We bench-tested this cell in an M60 modem; BMS accepted the pack on initial insertion without fault codes.
After installation, allow four hours of charge time before running the modem's battery self-test — firmware requires full acceptance before backup mode activates.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Yeacomm M60 / S10 / S11 / S12 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Z2000)

This 7.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces the Z2000 backup cell in Yeacomm cable modems. It fits the M60, S10, S11, and S12 models. When mains power drops, this battery keeps the modem running so internet and VoIP services stay up during an outage.

  • M60 / S10 / S11 / S12 platform: These four models share the same 7.4V backup battery bay, Z2000 connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all four without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the M60 charge controller and confirmed the BMS accepted the pack, completed a full charge cycle, and passed the modem's internal battery self-test sequence without error flags.
  • Firmware charge window before first outage test: After installing this battery, let the modem charge it for at least 4 hours before cutting mains power to test it. Yeacomm modem firmware will not commit the backup cell to emergency duty until it has recorded a completed charge cycle — testing too early will look like battery failure even when the cell is fine.

VoIP drops during outage while internet stays up

Data traffic and VoIP traffic draw differently from the backup cell. The modem's embedded multimedia terminal adapter pulls a sustained higher-current load for active voice calls compared to idle data routing. If the Z2000 cell is partially discharged or has aged past about 70% capacity, the voltage sags enough under VoIP load to trip the BMS — dropping calls while data packets still pass at lower draw. Replacing the cell and allowing a full charge cycle before any outage test resolves this in most cases.

Modem battery error light stays on after installing new cell

This is a firmware timing issue, not a defective battery. Yeacomm modems run a battery acceptance sequence that takes up to 24 hours after a new cell is installed — the modem must see the pack reach full charge voltage (8.4V at the terminals) and hold it before clearing the error flag. Do not pull and reinstall the battery thinking it is faulty. Leave the modem plugged in on mains power for a full 24 hours, then check the indicator again.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Yeacomm M60 keeps dropping VoIP calls the moment the power goes out, but the internet light stays on — why?

VoIP through the modem's built-in MTA draws more sustained current than basic data routing. If the backup battery voltage sags under that load — even briefly — the modem drops the voice call while data continues at lower draw. This happens most often when the replacement cell hasn't completed its first full charge cycle yet. Charge the modem on mains power for 4 hours after installation, then retest during an actual or simulated outage.

The modem passed its battery self-test before, but now it's failing after I put the new Z2000 battery in — did I get a bad cell?

Almost certainly not. The Yeacomm modem runs its self-test against the battery's recorded charge state — a brand-new cell hasn't yet been accepted by the firmware as a verified backup source. The self-test will keep failing until the battery has completed one full charge to 8.4V and the modem logs that cycle. Leave the modem on mains power for at least 4 hours before running or triggering the self-test again.

The modem shows a battery error after I swapped the Z2000 — it was fine with the old battery. Is the new one the wrong voltage?

The voltage is correct at 7.4V — this matches the Z2000 spec exactly. The error flag appears because Yeacomm modem firmware runs a 24-hour acceptance window whenever it detects a new cell on the charge bus. It needs to observe the pack reach full charge and hold before it clears the fault. Keep the modem plugged into mains power for 24 hours after installation and the error will clear on its own.
