This is a 3.7V, 2000mAh lithium-polymer replacement battery for the Safety Vision Prima Facie body camera. It fits the Prima Facie and SV-PRIMAFACE32E models using OEM part number CE32E. Capacity and voltage match the original specification exactly.

Under combined draw, the BMS can trip its protection circuit if voltage sags below the cutoff threshold, killing the recording mid-session. This is not a battery fault; it is the protection circuit doing its job. To reduce the risk, disable background upload during active recording and let sync occur when the camera is docked and on charge.

A new lithium-polymer cell needs two or three full charge cycles before the internal coulomb counter calibrates to its actual capacity. Until then, the camera's fuel gauge can read lower than the true state of charge. If the low-battery indicator appears early after installing this replacement, fully discharge the camera to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. Run that cycle twice and the indicator should track accurately.

Power the camera fully off, wait 10 seconds, then power back on. If the ready-status indicator appears and holds steady, recording will be re-enabled.
The camera body gets noticeably warm after an hour of continuous recording — is that normal with this battery?
Yes, and the heat is not coming from the battery alone. The Prima Facie combines sustained video processing with an active cellular or WiFi radio, both drawing from the same 3.7V cell continuously. The combined load generates heat across the camera's processor and the battery together. If the case becomes uncomfortable to hold, enable airplane mode during recording-only shifts — this drops the radio load and reduces heat output significantly.
I charged the new battery overnight but the Prima Facie still shows a low-charge warning at the start of shift
A fresh lithium-polymer cell reports inaccurate state-of-charge until the fuel gauge has calibrated across at least two full cycles. The camera reads the gauge, not the actual cell voltage, so a low warning early on is a calibration gap, not a charging fault. Let the camera run down to auto-shutdown from a full charge, then charge uninterrupted back to 100% — repeat once more and the indicator will align with real capacity. Check the resting voltage on the cell with a multimeter; a fully charged 3.7V Li-Po should read at or above 4.15V.
