Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Blade A3 2020 — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3826T43P4h695950)
This is a 3.8V, 2400mAh (9.12Wh) Li-ion replacement cell for the ZTE Blade A3 2020, Blade A3Y, Blade A3 2020T, and Blade A5 2019. It directly replaces OEM part Li3826T43P4h695950. The battery fits the shared platform across these ZTE budget-tier devices, which all use the same connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol.
- Shared platform compatibility: The Blade A3 2020, A3Y, A3 2020T, and A5 2019 share a common mainboard layout and charge IC. ZTE standardised the 3.8V rail and connector across this lineup, so one cell revision covers all listed variants without wiring or fitment changes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge cycles on a Blade A3 2020 unit. The BMS accepted the handshake on first connection, charge IC engaged without fault codes, and the cell held voltage across light, medium, and screen-on load states.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated coulomb counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Blade A3 2020 after a cell swap
This happens because the phone's fuel gauge IC is still reading the old cell's discharge curve. At around 20–30%, the old calibration predicts safe voltage headroom — but the new cell hits a steeper voltage cliff under modem or display load. The SoC triggers an emergency shutdown before the percentage counter catches up. One full discharge-charge cycle resets the coulomb counter and aligns the gauge to the new cell's actual curve.
Phone warm near the battery compartment during first charge
A new, high-impedance cell converts more charge energy to heat during the first few cycles. The charge IC on these ZTE devices doesn't throttle current based on cell impedance alone — it uses voltage feedback, which is slower to react on a fresh cell. This is normal and typically resolves within two to three cycles as internal impedance drops. If the phone stays warm beyond the third full charge, check that the charge rate hasn't been locked to a fast-charge profile in developer settings.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ZTE Blade A3 2020 shows 35% battery and then shuts off without warning — is the new cell faulty?
It's not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge IC calibrated itself to the old, degraded cell's discharge curve and hasn't updated yet. At around 30–35%, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the gauge expects under screen or modem load, triggering an emergency cutoff. Run one full discharge — let the phone power off on its own — then charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter will track the new cell accurately.
Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery on my Blade A3 2020 — the phone just slow-charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell replacement, the charge IC may not accept the fast-charge handshake until the BMS has completed at least one full charge sequence. We saw this on the bench — the controller defaulted to 5V standard charge on first connection. Charge the phone fully once via standard charging, then unplug and reconnect. If fast charging still doesn't activate after a full cycle, check that you're using the original ZTE charger, as third-party adapters may not send the correct voltage request signal.
The battery percentage on my Blade A3 2020 keeps jumping around — it was at 60%, then jumped to 45%, then back to 55%.
Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC recalibration symptom, not a cell defect. The IC is comparing live voltage readings from the new cell against a stored discharge model built around the original cell — the mismatch causes it to correct and overcorrect in real time. Let the phone complete two to three uninterrupted discharge-charge cycles. After that, the coulomb counter will have enough data points from the new cell to smooth out the percentage reporting.
