Fits AT&T Maestro and U202AA models; replaces OEM part LT20H445170B or LT20H445170W.
3.8V, 1950mAh capacity supplies the phone's modem, display, and processor without voltage sag.
Connector slides into the original battery slot with standard lithium-ion terminal orientation and locking tab.
We cycled the pack through three full discharges on standby and loaded calls; BMS held voltage flat until cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AT&T Maestro / U202AA — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (LT20H445170B)

This is a 3.8V, 1950mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the AT&T Maestro (U202AA) smartphone. It replaces OEM part numbers LT20H445170B and LT20H445170W. If your Maestro is shutting down unexpectedly, not holding a charge, or won't power on at all, this cell is the direct swap.

  • Maestro / U202AA fit: Both the Maestro and U202AA designations refer to the same hardware platform and share an identical battery connector, voltage rail, and BMS handshake. One cell covers both variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on the Maestro platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first connection, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.35V, and low-voltage cutoff engaged as expected without requiring a reset.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the charge IC pushes higher current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Maestro after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. Under modem or display load, the new cell briefly sags below the shutdown threshold even though the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The fuel gauge IC hasn't yet mapped the new cell's discharge curve, so it misjudges the remaining usable voltage. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate gives the coulomb counter enough data to correct its estimate and the shutdowns stop.

Device not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below 2.5V the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage. The phone will show no response — no charging indicator, no boot. Connect to a wall charger rated at least 5V/1A and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage recovers above the BMS re-enable threshold, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Maestro shows 25% battery and then just shuts off — is the new cell bad?

The cell is almost certainly fine. This is a voltage cliff: under the load spike from the modem or screen, the cell voltage briefly dips below the shutdown threshold even though the fuel gauge still reads 25%. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to your old, degraded cell's discharge curve. Run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown and charge back to 100% at standard rate — after that cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates and the premature shutdowns stop.

The Maestro won't show a charging indicator or turn on after I installed the new battery — what's happening?

If the cell voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage, the BMS locks out to prevent cell damage, and the phone will appear completely dead. Plug into a wall charger at 5V/1A and leave it untouched for at least 20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickles current in until the cell recovers above the BMS re-enable threshold — once it does, the charging indicator appears and the phone boots normally.

Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery on my Maestro — did I break something?

Nothing is broken. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the phone's charge IC sometimes defaults to standard rate while it negotiates with the new BMS and verifies cell impedance is within safe limits for elevated current. Let the phone complete one full charge at standard rate without interrupting it. On the second cycle, fast charging typically re-engages automatically once the charge IC has confirmed the new cell's parameters.
