Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Chorus / D930 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3710T42P3h553457-NTC)
This 3.7V 1100mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the ZTE Chorus and D930 smartphones. It matches the OEM part number Li3710T42P3h553457-NTC and fits the original battery bay without modification. Voltage and capacity figures are sourced directly from the product specification — 3.7V nominal, 4.07Wh.
- Chorus and D930 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions (54.50 × 33.50 × 5.50mm), connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the ZTE charge IC and confirmed the BMS communicates correctly at full charge termination. Charge current tapered cleanly at the top-of-charge threshold with no false cutoff.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: After fitting the new cell, run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before re-enabling any fast-charge setting. This gives the coulomb counter a full reference cycle against the new cell's discharge curve.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the ZTE Chorus after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. Under peak load — mobile data radio transmitting or screen at full brightness — the new cell's internal resistance causes a brief voltage sag. If that sag pulls the cell below the BMS low-voltage cutoff threshold, the phone shuts off even though the fuel gauge still shows charge remaining. One full reference cycle resets the coulomb counter and shifts the shutdown point to match the actual cell curve. After calibration, the OS reported percentage aligns with real remaining capacity.
Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If a replacement cell drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks charge input to prevent damage. The phone appears completely dead — no boot logo, no charging indicator. Connect the phone to a wall charger (not a PC USB port) and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell out of lockout; once the cell recovers to around 3.0V, the BMS re-enables normal charging and the phone will power on.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ZTE Chorus shows 25% battery and then just cuts off without warning — is the new cell faulty?
The cell is likely fine. At 25%, the phone's modem or display pulls a current spike that drops the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — the phone interprets that as empty and shuts down. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so the percentage reading is inaccurate. Run one full discharge to auto-shutdown followed by a complete uninterrupted charge to 100%, and the coulomb counter will recalibrate to the new cell.
The battery percentage on my ZTE D930 keeps jumping around erratically after I put the new battery in — 60% one minute, 45% the next.
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating. It learned the old cell's voltage-to-capacity curve over hundreds of cycles, and the new cell has a different internal resistance profile. The jumps narrow with each charge cycle as the IC gathers new coulomb-counting data. After two to three full discharge-charge cycles the readings stabilise — avoid topping up in short bursts during this period, as partial cycles give the IC less data to work from.
My Chorus gets noticeably warm near the battery compartment during the first charge with the replacement cell — is that normal?
A new Li-ion cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more heat during the constant-current phase. That warmth during the first one or two charge cycles is expected and reduces as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone stays warm throughout the full charge or gets hot to the touch, disconnect it and check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection increases contact resistance and raises heat significantly.
