Fits ZTE F952, F950, V880, N73 and replaces Li3713T42P3h444865 or Li3712T42P3h444865.
3.7V at 1300mAh — enough to power the display, modem, and processor through a full workday.
Connector slides straight onto the ZTE housing with no locking tab; orientation marked on both cell and slot.
We ran the cell through five charge-discharge cycles on a ZTE test bench; BMS accepted voltage handshake cleanly on cycle one.
On first use, disable any fast-charge setting for one full discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE F952 / V880 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3713T42P3h444865)

This is a 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion cell replacing part number Li3713T42P3h444865 (also cross-referenced as Li3712T42P3h444865) in ZTE handsets. It fits the F952, F950, V880, N73, and related models. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unexpectedly under load.

  • F952 / V880 platform fit: These models share the same physical footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why one cell covers the full range. Swapping between compatible models does not require firmware changes or hardware modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on ZTE platform hardware. The BMS accepted the charge current without dropping into protection mode, and the fuel gauge IC registered correct state-of-charge readings after one full cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This is a voltage-cliff issue, not a capacity defect. Under modem or screen load, the cell voltage drops sharply below the threshold the OS expects at that reported percentage. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads available charge. Run one full discharge to near-zero, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that cycle, the coulomb counter realigns to the new cell and the shutdowns stop.

Phone not powering on after the battery sat discharged in storage

If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent damage and will not pass current to the phone. Plugging into a standard charger often shows nothing — the phone appears dead. Connect to a wall adapter rather than a USB port, leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button, and let the charge IC trickle current past the BMS lockout threshold. Once the cell reaches around 3.0V, normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my ZTE F952 show the wrong battery percentage after fitting the new cell?

The fuel gauge IC on the ZTE platform stores a discharge curve learned from the old cell. When a new cell goes in, that curve no longer matches actual voltage behaviour, so the percentage reading drifts. Run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter rebuilds its reference map against the new cell and percentage accuracy returns.

The phone gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — is that normal?

A new Li-ion cell has higher internal impedance than a worn one, which means the charge IC works harder to push current in during the first few cycles. That generates more heat than you'd see once the cell settles. Keep the phone out of a case for the first two or three charges so heat can dissipate. If warmth persists past the third full charge cycle, check that the charge port contacts are clean and seated correctly.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery — what happened?

ZTE's charge protocol negotiates between the USB-PD controller and the BMS on the first cycle with a new cell. If that handshake doesn't complete cleanly — common when the cell arrives at a low state of charge — the phone falls back to standard 5V charging and stays there. Fully discharge the phone, then plug into the original ZTE wall adapter (not a third-party cable or port) and charge to 100% in one session. That completes the protocol negotiation and fast charging resumes on subsequent cycles.
