Fits ZTE E400 smartphones; replaces OEM battery N/A — 3.7V Li-ion cell restores full daily communication and basic app function to aged devices.
3.7V, 1300mAh capacity delivers 4.81Wh total energy — sufficient for standard usage patterns on this entry-level smartphone without extended talk time.
Connector slides vertically into the E400 battery slot; no locking tab — seat fully until contact points engage the phone's internal terminals.
We bench-tested this cell on ZTE E400 reference hardware; BMS accepted charge without fault codes — voltage held steady through discharge cycle.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Билайн E400 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion battery for the Билайн E400 smartphone. It replaces the original cell when the device no longer holds charge or shuts down unexpectedly. Capacity is 4.81Wh — matched to the original specification.

  • E400 platform fit: The E400 uses a compact 43.50 × 47.00 × 6.10mm cell with a 3.7V nominal rail. This battery matches that form factor and voltage — the BMS handshake initialises on first boot without requiring a firmware update or additional configuration.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the E400 platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without triggering a protection cutoff, and the charge IC ramped current normally through CC and CV phases.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first installation, disable fast charging if available and run one complete discharge-charge cycle before normal use. The fuel gauge IC on the E400 is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes erratic percentage readings until the coulomb counter resets against the new cell.

Why the E400 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The E400's fuel gauge IC tracks charge state using a learned discharge curve from the previous cell. A new cell has a different internal impedance profile, so the IC's stored curve no longer matches real voltage behaviour. The result is percentage jumps, incorrect time-to-empty readings, or a sudden drop from 30% to zero. One full discharge-charge cycle rewrites the coulomb counter reference and brings percentage reporting back in line.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage collapses under modem or screen load before the OS reads a low-battery warning. A fresh Li-ion cell can show a steep voltage cliff in the lower charge range while the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The E400's protection circuit cuts power when cell voltage drops below roughly 3.0V under load — even if the displayed percentage looks safe. Run two full cycles to let the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's actual voltage-capacity curve and reduce the gap between displayed and real charge state.

Frequently Asked Questions

The E400 won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

It's likely a BMS lockout from deep discharge in storage. When a Li-ion cell drops below 2.5V per cell, the protection circuit disables output to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on. If the BMS recovers, the charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage rises above the lockout threshold, typically around 2.9V, and the phone will boot normally.

The E400 shows it's charging but the percentage keeps jumping around erratically — what's happening?

The coulomb counter in the fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve. This is normal after a cell swap and does not mean the battery is faulty. The IC uses data from the old cell to estimate charge state, and the mismatch produces unstable readings until it collects enough cycles on the new cell. Complete one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — erratic readings typically stabilise after that cycle.

The phone feels warm near the battery during the first few charges — is that normal with this cell?

A new high-impedance cell generates slightly more heat during the initial charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. The charge IC on the E400 pushes the same CC-phase current into a cell with higher internal resistance, which produces more heat than you'd see after a few cycles. As long as the phone is not uncomfortably hot to hold and charging completes normally, this is within expected range. If heat persists past the third charge cycle, check that the replacement cell dimensions — 43.50 × 47.00 × 6.10mm — are not causing the battery cover to press against the cell, which restricts heat dissipation.
