Fits ZTE Grand X View 2, Zpad 8, K83, K83V tablets; replaces OEM battery LI3945T44P8HA69203.
3.85V nominal output delivers 4400mAh capacity — 16.94Wh total energy for full-day tablet use on WiFi and local apps.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the left edge; orientation marked on the device.
We bench-tested the BMS on a K83 tablet — fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell after power-on, no fault codes during top-up charge.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell and resolves inaccurate percentage display.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Grand X View 2 / Zpad 8 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (LI3945T44P8HA69203)

This 3.85V, 4400mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces part number LI3945T44P8HA69203 in the ZTE Grand X View 2, Zpad 8, K83, and K83V tablets. It matches the original cell's voltage, capacity, and connector configuration. Dimensions are 104.75 × 95.50 × 2.60mm — confirm clearance inside your tablet before ordering.

  • K83 and K83V platform fit: The Grand X View 2 and Zpad 8 both run on ZTE's K83 hardware platform, sharing the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — which is why a single part number covers all four listed models.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on K83-platform hardware. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, voltage held steady under combined display and Wi-Fi load, and the protection circuit triggered correctly at low-voltage cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After fitting this battery, run the tablet down to automatic shutoff — do not force-power-off — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The K83's fuel gauge IC calibrates against the new cell during this cycle and eliminates the incorrect percentage readings that appear immediately after a swap.

ZTE Grand X View 2 shutting down at 15–25% remaining

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When a new cell is installed, the IC's stored curve no longer matches actual cell voltage under load. The combined draw from the display backlight and active Wi-Fi creates a brief voltage dip the IC misreads as a low-battery cutoff. Run one full discharge-to-shutoff cycle followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% — after that single cycle, the IC recalibrates and the early shutdowns stop.

Fast charging not available after battery replacement on the Zpad 8

The K83 platform uses a handshake between the charge IC and the battery's BMS before enabling fast-charge current. On a freshly installed cell, that handshake hasn't completed yet and the device defaults to standard 5V charging. This is not a fault — it resolves after the first full accepted charge cycle. Connect to your original ZTE charger, let it complete a full charge to 100% without interruption, and fast charging will be available from the next session onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ZTE Grand X View 2 is showing 60% battery but just shut off — why?

The fuel gauge IC in the K83 platform calibrates against the discharge curve of the cell it learned on. A new cell has a different curve, so the IC calls a low-voltage cutoff earlier than the actual charge state warrants. Run the tablet to automatic shutoff, then charge it uninterrupted to 100%. That single cycle resets the calibration and the premature shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my Zpad 8 is jumping around after I replaced the battery — is the new battery faulty?

It's not faulty — it's the fuel gauge IC reading an unfamiliar cell. The IC stores a discharge model built on the old battery's behaviour, and a new 4400mAh cell doesn't match that model until it's been cycled. Let the tablet discharge fully to automatic shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that one cycle the percentage display stabilises.

My Grand X View 2 feels warm near the charging port while charging the new battery — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth during the first few charges is normal. The charge IC on the K83 board runs a conditioning pass on a new cell, drawing slightly higher current than it will in steady-state operation. If the tablet stays comfortably touchable and the warmth fades after the first two or three charge cycles, nothing is wrong. If it becomes hot or the percentage doesn't climb past a fixed point, check that you're using the original ZTE charger — third-party chargers can stall the charge IC negotiation at 5V.
