Fits ZTE Nubia M2 and Nubia M2 Dual SIM models, replaces OEM part Li3936T44P6h836542.
Delivers 3.85V at 3600mAh capacity, providing 13.86Wh of usable energy for standard daily operation.
Connector seats flush into the battery slot with standard ZTE contact alignment and retention clip.
We bench-tested this cell across 15 full charge cycles; the BMS accepted the handshake cleanly and held voltage stable under sustained load draw.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Nubia M2 / NX551J — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li3936T44P6h836542)

This is a 3.85V, 3600mAh Li-Polymer cell built to the same OEM specification as the factory battery in the ZTE Nubia M2 and Nubia M2 Dual SIM (NX551J). It fits all Nubia M2 variants — including the TD-LTE model — that use part number Li3936T44P6h836542. Voltage, connector pinout, and BMS handshake match the originals.

  • Nubia M2 variant coverage: The standard M2, Dual SIM, and Dual SIM TD-LTE all share the same battery bay geometry, connector, and 3.85V nominal rail. One cell covers the full NX551J lineup because ZTE used a single battery platform across the variants — no model-specific BMS tuning separates them.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an NX551J board. The BMS accepted the full 3600mAh charge without triggering a protection cutoff, and the fuel gauge IC registered a valid cell handshake on first contact.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the coulomb counter locks in its baseline — skipping this step causes erratic percentage readings early on.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Nubia M2 after a cell swap

This is a voltage-cliff problem, not a cell defect. A fresh Li-Polymer cell has a steeper voltage drop in the lower state-of-charge band than the worn cell the fuel gauge was calibrated to. When the modem fires a high-power burst or the screen peaks brightness, the new cell's voltage dips below the BMS protection threshold momentarily — the phone cuts out even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. The fix is one full discharge cycle without fast charging. Once the fuel gauge IC has mapped the new cell's actual voltage curve, the shutdown threshold aligns correctly and the drop-outs stop.

USB fast charge not activating after fitting the replacement cell

The Nubia M2's charge IC negotiates fast-charge protocol on the first cycle using BMS state data from the previous session. A new cell presents no prior session data, so the charge IC defaults to standard 5V/1A as a safety measure. This is normal behaviour — not a fault with the replacement cell or the charger. Plug in the original charger, let the phone complete one full charge cycle at standard rate, then disconnect and reconnect. On the second connection the charge IC will renegotiate and fast charging will activate.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Nubia M2 keeps shutting off around 25% battery after I put in the new cell — is something wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC is still running the discharge curve from the old, degraded battery — so its voltage thresholds don't match the new cell's output. Under sudden load spikes from the modem or display, the phone sees a voltage dip it interprets as empty and cuts power. Run one full discharge from 100% to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard rate — no fast charging yet. After that single cycle the coulomb counter recalibrates and the premature shutdowns stop.

The battery percentage on my Nubia M2 is jumping around erratically — it went from 60% to 41% in a few minutes without heavy use.

This is the fuel gauge IC recalibrating against an unfamiliar cell. The coulomb counter lost its reference point when the old cell was removed, and it's making rough estimates until it builds a new discharge profile. The jumps will narrow and stabilise after one or two complete discharge-charge cycles at standard rate. Force the first cycle by letting the phone discharge until it shuts itself off, then charge to 100% without interruption — check that the percentage is reading steadily before re-enabling fast charge.

My Nubia M2 feels warm near the battery area during the first charge on the replacement cell — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth on the first charge cycle is expected with a new Li-Polymer cell. A fresh cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC pushes slightly more voltage to move current through it, which generates a little more heat than normal. If the phone stays warm — above hand-hot — throughout the charge, disconnect and check that the battery connector is seated flat with no bent pins, since a partial contact forces the charge IC to work harder. Normal warmth drops off after the first full cycle as cell impedance settles.
