Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Nubia Z17 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li3932T44P6h806139)
This 3.85V, 3100mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the ZTE Nubia Z17 and Nubia Z17 Dual SIM (NX563J). It matches the OEM part number Li3932T44P6h806139 and fits the stock battery bay without modification. Voltage and physical dimensions — 79.52 x 60.65 x 3.66mm — match the original specification exactly.
- Nubia Z17 and NX563J platform fit: The Z17 series — including standard and Dual SIM TD-LTE variants — shares the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers all listed models without adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full discharge-charge sequence on a Z17 unit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell, charge current ramped correctly through CC/CV stages, and no fault codes triggered in the charge IC log.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the coulomb counter begins tracking state-of-charge under load.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a fresh Z17 cell
A new cell does not share the discharge curve the fuel gauge IC learned from the old battery. When the phone hits a voltage point the coulomb counter associates with a low charge state, it triggers a protective shutdown — even if actual capacity remains. The modem and display together pull enough current to cause a voltage sag that looks like a cliff to the fuel gauge. One full discharge to zero followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the calibration and typically resolves the early shutdowns.
USB fast charge not activating after battery replacement
The Nubia Z17 uses a proprietary fast-charge handshake between the charge IC and the battery BMS. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC may default to standard 5V input while it negotiates with the new BMS. This is not a fault — it clears after the first full charge cycle completes. If fast charge still does not activate after two full cycles, check that the charge port contacts are clean and reseat the battery connector to confirm pin contact at all four terminals.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Nubia Z17 shows the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new battery — sometimes it jumps 10% in a few minutes. Is something wrong with the cell?
Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the Z17 was calibrated to the discharge curve of the old battery, and the new cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity profile. The coulomb counter is essentially guessing until it completes one full reference cycle. Discharge the phone completely until it shuts off on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — the percentage readings stabilise after that cycle.
My Z17 feels warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacement — is the charge IC overloading the new cell?
A new Li-Polymer cell typically has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates a little more energy as heat during the initial CC phase. This is normal for the first two or three cycles and reduces as the cell breaks in. The warmth should stay below what feels uncomfortable to hold. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the charge IC throws a thermal warning on-screen, stop charging and check the battery connector seating — a loose pin raises contact resistance and amplifies heat.
The Nubia Z17 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — is the battery dead?
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS enters a lockout state to prevent damage. The phone will not respond to the power button in this state. Connect the phone to a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, typically around 3.0V, before normal charging resumes. If the charging indicator does not appear after 30 minutes, try a different cable and confirm the wall adapter outputs at least 5V 1A.
