Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Nubia Z11 mini — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li3827T44P6h726040)
This 3.85V, 2750mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the factory battery in the ZTE Nubia Z11 mini (NX529, NX529J). It matches the original OEM part number Li3827T44P6h726040 and fits the internal tray without modification. Rated at 10.59Wh, it restores charge capacity lost to cell aging or physical damage.
- NX529 and NX529J compatibility: Both NX529 variants share the same battery tray geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both. The fuel gauge IC reads the same charge curve across both board revisions.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an NX529J board. The BMS accepted full charging current without tripping, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge accurately from cycle two onward.
- First-cycle fast-charge lock: On the first full cycle after installation, disable fast charging in the phone's settings. This gives the fuel gauge IC one complete discharge-charge pass to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging applies to an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Nubia Z11 mini
This happens when the cell voltage drops below the modem's minimum rail requirement under load — even though the percentage display still reads 20–30%. Aged cells have a steeper voltage cliff: small current spikes from LTE or the display push voltage below the cutoff threshold faster than the fuel gauge IC can track. A replacement cell with a flatter discharge curve eliminates the cliff. After fitting this cell, run one full discharge to empty and charge to 100% — the coulomb counter resets its zero and full reference points against the new curve.
Phone shows wrong battery percentage after cell swap
The fuel gauge IC on the NX529 board stores a learned discharge curve from the old cell. After a swap, it applies that old curve to the new cell's voltage readings, producing inaccurate percentages — often jumping or landing far off actual charge state. This corrects itself after one complete discharge-charge cycle without interruption. Drain the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before unplugging. The coulomb counter recalibrates its endpoints and percentage tracking stabilises from the next cycle forward.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Nubia Z11 mini won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat unused for months — is the cell dead?
Probably not dead — the BMS has locked out the cell because voltage dropped below 2.5V during storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold. If the screen shows a low-battery animation at any point, the recovery is working. Once voltage climbs above 3.0V the phone will power on normally.
Fast charging stopped working on the Nubia Z11 mini after I put in the new battery — the phone only charges slowly now.
The proprietary fast-charge protocol on the NX529 requires a BMS handshake before the charge IC ramps up current. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS may not complete that handshake and the charger falls back to standard 5V current. Use the original ZTE wall adapter — not a USB hub or generic charger — and let the phone complete one full charge without interruption. The handshake negotiation succeeds on the second cycle in most cases, and fast charging resumes from that point forward.
The Nubia Z11 mini gets noticeably warm near the battery compartment while charging with the new cell — is this normal?
Some warmth on the first few charge cycles is expected. A new high-impedance cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat during initial cycles. If the phone stays warm but not hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, continue normal use — resistance drops as the cell conditions over three to five cycles. If the back becomes too hot to hold or charging pauses automatically, check that the charger output matches the ZTE spec of 5V/2A and is not over-voltage.
