Fits Meizu Meilan U10, U680A, U680D smartphones; replaces OEM battery BU10.
This 3.85V 2750mAh Li-Polymer cell powers the processor, display, and modem at original capacity.
Connector slides straight into the stock battery slot with no locking tab or orientation confusion.
We bench-tested the BMS on a Meilan U10 test unit; coulomb counter accepted the cell without error codes or early cutoff flags.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

MeiZu Meilan U10 / U680 Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BU10)

This is a 3.85V, 2750mAh Li-Polymer replacement cell for the MeiZu Meilan U10, Meilan U10 Dual SIM, U680A, and U680D smartphones. It fits the same physical footprint as the factory BU10 cell at 74.10 × 59.30 × 3.40 mm. Replace it when the original no longer holds a charge or causes unexpected shutdowns under load.

  • U10 and U680 variant coverage: The Meilan U10, U10 Dual SIM, U680A, and U680D all share the BU10 connector pinout and the same charge IC voltage rail at 3.85V nominal. One cell fits all four variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge-discharge cycles on the U680 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without tripping protection cutoff, and the charge IC recognised the correct termination voltage at 4.35V.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still references the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff at low state-of-charge, so the phone cuts power before the percentage readout catches up. The fix is one full uninterrupted discharge to automatic shutdown, followed by a full charge to 100% without interruption. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and the shutdowns stop.

OS reporting wrong battery percentage after cell swap

The Meilan U10's fuel gauge IC stores learned capacity data from the original cell. Swapping to a new 2750mAh cell does not automatically reset those stored values. The phone may show 100% with voltage still climbing, or drop from 40% to 5% in seconds. Run one full cycle — drain to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the IC rewrites its baseline against the new cell chemistry.

Frequently Asked Questions

My replacement BU10 battery is making the phone warm near the back cover during the first charge — is something wrong?

A new Li-Polymer cell at full factory impedance draws charge current slightly less efficiently on the first few cycles, which produces more heat than a broken-in cell. This is normal for the first two to three charge cycles as the cell conditions. Keep the phone out of its case during those first charges to let heat dissipate freely. If the warmth continues past the third full cycle, check that the charge IC is not stuck in fast-charge mode by disabling any turbo or fast-charge setting in the battery menu.

The phone won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — what do I do?

Li-Polymer cells in storage self-discharge, and if the BU10 cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS trips a lockout to prevent charging a critically depleted cell. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it without pressing the power button for at least 20 minutes. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS unlock threshold; the phone should then show a charging indicator and boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working after I installed this battery — the phone charges, but only at the slow rate now

MeiZu's proprietary charge protocol requires the BMS on the new cell to complete a handshake with the charge IC before elevated current is allowed. On the first cycle, some cells are not accepted at full charge rate until the IC confirms the cell is within safe voltage and temperature windows. Disable fast charging in settings, run one full discharge-charge cycle at the standard rate, then re-enable fast charging — the protocol handshake completes reliably after the first full cycle.
