Fits HTC Desire 530 and Desire 530 4G, replaces OEM part B2PST100.
3.85V, 2200mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full charge cycles on this compact Android phone.
Connector slides into battery bay with single locking tab at base of slot.
We bench-tested this cell in a Desire 530 and confirmed the fuel gauge IC accepted the new discharge curve without lockout faults.
On first charge after installation, run one complete discharge-to-shutdown cycle before resuming normal use — the phone's coulomb counter needs to recalibrate against the new cell's voltage response.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HTC Desire 530 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B2PST100)

This is a 3.85V, 2200mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the HTC Desire 530, Desire 530 4G, A16, and D530u, among other variants. It replaces OEM parts B2PST100 and 35H00257-00M. Install it when the original cell can no longer hold adequate charge through a normal day of use.

  • Desire 530 variant coverage: The Desire 530 family shares a common connector pinout, physical footprint (66.90 × 56.70 × 3.50mm), and 3.85V nominal rail across all listed variants. One cell fits the full range without adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Desire 530 platform. The BMS communicated correctly with the charge IC, accepted current without interruption, and reported state-of-charge back to the OS throughout the full cycle.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge recalibration: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC on the Desire 530 calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve on that first pass — skipping it causes erratic percentage readings in early use.

Why the Desire 530 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Desire 530 uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its charge model from the previous cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, that stored model no longer matches real cell behaviour, so the percentage display drifts or jumps. The fix is one full discharge to around 3.0V under normal load, followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets against the new cell and percentage reporting stabilises.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still running the old cell's voltage curve and the phone hits a modem or display load spike. Voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold before the displayed percentage reaches zero, so the phone shuts off without warning. It is not a fault in the replacement cell — it is the gauge misreading the new cell's lower internal resistance profile. Run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard current and the shutdowns stop once the counter recalibrates.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Desire 530 turned off at 27% and now won't start — is the battery dead already?

It is not dead. A voltage sag under load tripped the BMS cutoff before the displayed percentage reached zero. Plug the phone into a wall charger and leave it for 20 minutes before attempting to power on — the cell voltage needs to recover above the BMS reinitialisation threshold of roughly 3.0V. Once it boots, run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after fitting this battery — what's wrong?

On the first charge cycle, the Desire 530's charge IC sometimes withholds the high-current handshake until it confirms the new BMS is responding correctly. Unplug, wait 30 seconds, and reconnect using the original HTC charger rather than a third-party adapter. If fast charging still does not engage, complete one full standard-rate charge cycle first — after that cycle the BMS handshake is established and fast charging resumes normally on subsequent sessions.

The phone feels warm near the battery during the first few charges — is that normal?

Yes, and it is specific to the first few cycles on a fresh cell. A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance out of the box, which means the charge IC dissipates a little more heat as it pushes current in. Warmth — not hot — at the rear of the phone near the battery bay is expected. If the phone becomes too hot to hold comfortably, stop the charge and check that the charge current matches HTC's rated input; anything above 5V/2A on a non-fast-charge session points to an incompatible charger.
